  This wasn’t my first stay at this hotel, and once again, everything was excellent. The staff are always warm and professional, the breakfast is lovely, and the overall atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing. Special thanks to Hải, the bellman, for being so friendly, helpful, and attentive during our stay. He always greeted us with a smile and made us feel very welcome. Always a great experience staying here whenever I visit Huế.

  We stayed at this hotel during our recent trip to Vietnam. The accommodation was very lush and comfortable. The hotel had a restaurant attached and it was here that we met the lovely young waitress Hang. She is such an asset to this hotel as her English is exceptional and she made us feel very welcome. The buffet breakfast was beautiful as was the meal that we ate in the restaurant.

  Centrally located and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We took a day trip to palaces, mausaleums, and several other places. We were with Gate 1 tour group, so don't know about prices of hotel and breakfast, as those items were included in price of trip. This is the largest bathroom we've had on this trip, but the shower was in same partition as toilet with no curtain or divider, so after a shower, one has to use the towel to clean the water up from the floor. Also, we were told by our tour guide that the hot water is very hot but didn't tell us about the hot water pipe, where one can burn themselves if they accidentally touch it while trying to turn the handle. He also told us the shower and bath floor is very slippery when wet and they have shower mats and rubber slippers to use, but one must be careful. Not sure why it was designed this way Our room had no view except to see a wall 5 feet away, tho the bed was firm and comfortable, just like we like it! The buffet bkfst had a large selection of offerings, but unfortunately most were not to our tastes like previous hotels had, and what we did eat was not hot (pancakes/waffles), nor cold - cut fruits, juices and milk (for cereal), tho they did have ice to put in the glass b4 getting the juice, but only 2 selections. There was a heat lamp to keep some of the food warm, but it wasn't turned on. Service was good as far as front desk and restaurant staff, which is all that we needed.

  So stayed 2 nights so a brief visit to Hue but thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is in a great location for the centre and river. We had a panorama room on 9th floor and WOW such a beautiful room, very large room with 5 double windows. Massive comfortable bed and the bathroom was amazing with bath and walk in shower. There is a very nice pool on 14th floor but we just did not have time to enjoy it. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices and you could order speciality coffee if you wanted to (at an additional cost). Would have loved to have stayed a bit longer to enjoy the hotel and city as was really lovely but our tour of Vietnam included this brief stay. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

  This hotel is located centrally in Hue and looks very imposing from the outside. Room 508 is a large room which has a large, comfortable bed with 2 bedside cabinets and lights which use dimmer switches. There's an in-room safe, tea/coffee making facilities, complementary water and a fridge which contains the minibar items. There's a lot of "period style" furniture which has some useful storage space but there's only 3 spare hangers in the wardrobe, although there's enough height to hang trousers properly. Surely the management realise that 3 hangers isn't enough for most couples. There's a large window between the bedroom and the bathroom, which even with the flimsy curtain pulled, doesn't give much privacy. Most couples prefer some privacy in the bathroom and toilet, with this set-up, there isn't enough. There's a large, free-standing bath which, I suspect, will not be used as frequently as the excellent waterfall shower. |The bathroom and shower floor is marble which is very slippery when wet and the shower and toilet share the same cubicle which seems a poor configuration. Even with the supplied, nonslip sandals which are very uncomfortable to wear, to reduce the chances of slipping on the wet marble, this seems a questionable choice of flooring material. |We had an issue with the plug in the basin and a broken spring in the mattress, which were fixed while we were having dinner. Excellent service!!||DINNER - as it was raining heavily, we decided to dine in the hotel restaurant on our first evening. We wanted a cocktail before dinner and wine with dinner. I had the stir-fried beef with sticky rice and Margaret had the Hawaiian pizza. Both dishes were good, but my food arrived almost immediately with no pre-dinner cocktail and no sign of the wine. Margaret's pizza arrived with the cocktails, but still no wine. We cancelled the wine and enjoyed the cocktails with dinner. Perhaps we should have ordered the drinks first and, after they arrived, then ordered our food. ||BREAKFAST - there's the usual range of dishes representing Oriental cuisines and a selection of more Western orientated food. Everything was good and the egg station was excellent.

  We had a two night stay here as part of a tour. The room and bathroom were nice and spacious. However the drain in the shower was very slow and nearly flooded.||We went to use the pool but were really disappointed. There were only 4 sun beds and although located on the. 14th floor it had a basement feel about it. The rooftop bar has been closed for a long time but not because it’s being refurbished, I guess there just isn’t the customers. That made it feel like a ghost town. We did eat in the restaurant one night, food was good but the restaurant absolutely empty so had no soul. Similarly with the downstairs bar which is a shame because it is a nice hotel. Breakfast was ok, the breakfast box we had to takeaway was good.

  We spent 5 nights at the Eldora as the mid point of 12 week tour of SE Asia. On arrival the reception team were most welcoming and friendly. We were given two room entry cards (always a good sign) and then escorted to our room where we were taken through all of the controls and facilities , including a warning that the hot water runs very hot (which was true no matter what the time of day or night). ||The room was beautifully furnished with large twin beds, comfortable pillows, a table, two chairs, a well stocked mini bar, complimentary water replenished daily and plenty of storage space. ||The bathroom had both a walk in shower and roll top bath. Great for a luxurious soak after a day of walking around the city. ||In addition there was a large safe in the room, just perfect as I was travelling with a MacBook and camera. ||We only took breakfast in the restaurant as we had already planned dinners out. The staff were very friendly and attentive making sure we wanted for nothing. The food was plentiful and varied, covering every dietary requirement. Omelettes were freshly prepared, the danish pastries were delicious and the coffee sting and hot. ||Reception provided an umbrella on the evening it was raining. They also arranged an English speaking driver and car to take us around 3 of the Emperor’s Tombs on one day. Even with the entry costs and tip at the end of the tour this worked out much cheaper than a group tour booked locally or online. This meant we could go around the tombs (and they are much more than just one building) at our own pace, enjoying the environment too. ||Reception mentioned that our driver Nin had limited English which we were happy to accept, but he actually spoke very good English, telling us about the sites visited, the countryside we passed through and also about his family and Vietnamese life, particularly during the time of Covid and the impact that has had on tourism. ||A big thank you to everyone that made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. Apologies I didn’t get the names of individuals to post here but you all did a fantastic job.
