  One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. So beautiful in such a beautiful part of the city. Location couldn’t be better as the number one reason to visit Hue (the citedel) is so close and you can see its walls from the hotel. Rooms and decor and architecture is so gorgeous and even the newer additions look nice and don’t take away from the historic parts. Staff are superb, friendly and helpful but never overbearing. They are dressed beautifully. Breakfast was sensational with some amazing fruit and lots of varied Vietnamese and western food. So good! Pool and ground are gorgeous and so appreciated on a hot day. Restaurant was very special food and staff working hard to get everything to you as soon as they could. If going to Hue and I think you really should I highly recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed.

  What a gorgeous Hotel! Quite honestly, probably the best hotel stay we've had in Vietnam so far. There is an old world charm about the entire property, the rooms are relaxing and it feels so historical just being at the property. The restaurants also serve really great food at a good price and the breakfast included in the stay is the best we've had on the entire trip! The bun bo hue they make in house is the absolute best I've had in Hue. I love how closely located it is to the Imperial Citadel. My family and I spent two hours just walking and exploring the Palace ruins and learning of the rich history of the Nguyen Dynasty. What a magical and unmissable place to experience! We also booked Spa treatments at Spatel d'Annam and wow.. Talk about relaxed. The massage therapists knew exactly what was needed and they delivered. A big thank you to all the staff at Spatel D'Annam and Trinh for their amazing service, hospitality and attention to detail. Everybody went above and beyond to help and recommend where possible. Hue is so underrated and because of this place alone, we'll be returning this October.

  We wanted a place close to the Imperial City so that it's easy to walk to it and visit other places nearby. The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the architecture as the hotel stands where the Imperial Medical Institute used to be. We didn't know this until we checked in and saw the history. The restaurant's architecture was even more impressive with detailed carvings on wooden pillars and doors. We just had one meal at the restaurant but thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was quite modern with its amenities even though it felt like it belonged to an old building which was perfect. The hotel staff even prepared a breakfast box for us as we had to checkout early to catch our flight.

  Beautiful old building, would only recommend staying here to experience the aesthetic and connection to the royal palace. However considering the price and luxury experience provided, the quality of the stay did not have the value for money I expected. The room was beautiful, but dirty, with stains everywhere and many mosquitos and flies in the room. The AC barely worked, which was brutal since it is so hot here. We were greeted when we arrived late pretty abruptly and rudely, with no recommendations for the area or common courtesy I would expect at this level and price of a hotel. We booked a steam room and massage- no water was provided in the spa, we had already gone through the two complimentary bottles in the room, and just before our checkout after using the spa that morning we asked for some extra water, and were rudely told to go buy some at the cafe next door. Overall was worth a stay to experience the place, but would not come back due to the quality and service.

  I won't come back to this hotel, and will not recommend it to anyone. Please AVOID THIS HOTEL at any cost. I would give this hotel zero star if I could for the reason that my money was stolen at this hotel. I stayed in room #302 for 2 nights, from 3/31/2026 to 4/2/2026. I had 2 stacks of cash, 10 bills of 500,000 VND per stack, that I left UNTOUCHED in the room's safety box during my stay. When I checked out, the stacks looked as thick as they originally were, so I didn't think of re-counting the bills at that time. That afternoon after check out when I had to use some bills from one of these stacks to pay for my lunch, I noticed each stack had already lost one bill, leaving 9 bills per stack. Apparently , somebody did it on purpose to lure my attention from re-counting the bills in the stacks, and I fell exactly into his/ her/ their trap. At that time when I recalled all the details, it made sense as 1) I was in my car all the time since the moment I checked out the hotel to the time I arrived at the local restaurant, with my money being secure in my purse that was securely inside my backpack, meaning no one could touch those stacks of cash since the moment I checked out, and 2) their SATEY BOX WAS NOT SAFE AT ALL. Even though I locked it with my own passcode, IT HAS A MANUAL LOCK THAT ALLOWS THE HOTEL'S ROOM KEEPER/ JANITOR/ MANAGER OR ANYONE WHO HAS THE KEY TO OPEN IT EASILY WITHOUT STRIKING ANY EFFORT. During my stay, I requested room clean up every day, it means my room was accessed by the hotel staff. Since I already checked out at that time, I did not think it would worth it to report the incident to the hotel any more. I don't think they could help investigate into the case as there was not any camera setup in my room to search for the evidence.

  Great old hotel close to the Imperial City and perfect for a few hours walking. Food at restauarnt was very tasty, with good wines and quite inexpensive really. Nice swimming pool to cool off after a tiring day.. Rooms comfy and nicely decorated. Staff ultra friendly. We had massage before leaving which was a little on the pricey side but very very good. Hotel arranged transport to airport for a reasonable 350k.

  This is an historic building that used to be the physicians complex inside the Citadel. It was moved right across the street and is now an elegant hotel. There are lots of carved doors, decorative arches, and other architectural features that make you feel you have fallen back in time. There is a lively pool, a serene garden bar (great mojitos!) and a restaurant on site that does a decent job with Vietnam cuisine. It is a bit old but has charm and character from a century ago. Plus you can walk to the Citadel.

  This is clearly an older hotel but it is beautifully restored and has lovely period features. The food is fine, breakfast great, with variety and freshness. |The history is quite fascinating, having originally been an adjunct to the Imperial Citadel, only minutes walk away. |The rooms are charming and clean with all amenities ( if you want toothbrush and toothpaste ask at reception) but who doesn’t travel with these. |They are committed to environmental protection and provide water in glass bottles in the rooms, along with fruit. |As is often in Vietnam the staff are helpful and friendly.
