  The hotel is not a true 5 star. While the “bones” are good, there is lots of room for improvement. The architecture is beautiful, but tired. Most of the carpeted areas would have to be redone. The gym is oddly situated in what likely used to be a restaurant, it has really old carpet and the ac doesn’t work. Some of the machines need maintenance. The pool is lovely, but there is almost always no one there, and there is no bar. So you have to bring your own drinks. I even saw someone ordering food from grab. I had a suite, which featured a separate living room. It was an elegant room, but a lot of things didn’t work. The outlet next to the bed was loose. I had to unplug one of the night stand lamp to charge my phone. Two of the lamps didn’t turn on/off as the switch was defective. Black out curtains were not black out. Breakfast was good, not outstanding. Yet, the service was very good. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The location is good, a few minutes away from most shopping and sightseeing. Restaurants abound. The hotel suggested a restaurant nearby and I loved it.

  Best door man ever - Van Duc. Very helpful remembers conversation details from day before, conscious of safety for women traveling on own. Ladies on the customer counter not so warm. Must be tired. Rooms - not 5 star. Lucky if it's a 4. Had two room keys - one worked second didn't. Door handle lose - surprised it didn't fall off in my hands. Buffet breakfast was terrible. Variety limited. Location close to tomb/s excursion. Restaurant on 16th floor was awesome - I attended because of the discount flyer - sad because I was the only customer. Food was great. Service was the best being only customer.

  Outrageous preparation! The location was OK, check-in was great, the staff were smiling, and the breakfast was delicious. But... Last night, we discovered that our room on the 14th floor, which we also rented for our 2-year-old daughter, had a broken window that wouldn't close. The window reached the floor, allowing access to an outside windowsill and... Scandalous! Furthermore, someone, probably as a precaution, had smeared the bottom of the step between the pools with black grease, which stained clothes and skin terribly. The receptionist pretended to understand, apologized, and then unscrupulously charged us for the chips we ate. I definitely don't recommend it!

  The room is clean and spacious, the shampoo and shower gel smelled good. I like the intricate carvings on the toilet door. We didn’t realise the river view is behind the tv until we undraw the curtains the next day morning. There are also lots of good food around the vicinity. We lovethe crab rice noodles.

  The hotel staff, especially Van Duc, who always remembered our names, were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the river. The out side patio area of the roof top bar had 360 degree views, would definitely recommend you check this out as has the best views of Hue. |Good sized pool, which was essential in the heat wave that we experienced. |Breakfast selection was good.|Would stay here again

  Had a great stay here. Good location, centrally located. Room was very nice. Van Duc helped us to book a limo bus back to Da Nang at a good price. And when we lost our ATM card and couldn’t get cash to pay the driver, he went above and beyond and came with us across town to get cash with our credit card from a friend of his! Saved us from needing to take a Grab back for triple the price. Thanks Van Duc!

  The Imperial Hotel is fantastic - the architecture and the location is great. The rooftop bar has to have the best views in Hue. Adding to the whole experience is Van Duc. He is so knowledgeable, obliging and loads of fun. Nothing was too much for him, he even was incredibly hospitable to friends of ours who weren't guests but wanted to visit the Imperial.   Really good value for money, in a great location near the river and Imperial City. The rooms are large and well equipped and breakfast is amazing! |The hotel concierge Van Duc went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic! We enjoyed his smiling welcome and sense of humor!! Highly recommend this hotel.
