This little cafe tucked away on a side street is an absolute gem. I had the stir-fry noodles with beef and my lovely wife had the caramelized ribs and both dishes were amazing. Are server Jasmine was wonderful an extremely attentive. She noticed I was hot and without even asking she shut the doors and turned on the air conditioner. I would highly recommend this place.

Here’s a fantastic review you can use for Golden Rice Restaurant in Hue: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Golden Rice Restaurant – Hue’s Hidden Gem! We had an absolutely amazing experience at Golden Rice Restaurant in Hue. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, and you can feel the passion the team has for great food and service. The dishes were fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Every bite tasted like true Vietnamese home cooking with a modern twist. The standout for us was the authenticity of the flavours—rich broths, perfectly balanced spices, and generous portions. You can really taste the love and pride that goes into every meal. The staff were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and happy to share recommendations. It felt like dining with family. If you’re visiting Hue, do yourself a favour and add Golden Rice to your list. It’s one of those places you walk out of thinking, “Wow, that was special.” We’ll definitely be back! 🌟🍚🥢

Good food, and good service. I ordered a fried fish in tamarind sauce with green papaya salad and it was like nothing that I have ever tasted before. Fantastic! The restaurant has a couple of AC units and a numbers of fans doing gods good work keeping the place cool in the heat of the day prices are reasonable, well worth it in my opinion.

We had a good experience as a whole. Service was friendly, food was pretty good (we had tofu with lemongrass and claypot chicken with chili). The prices are way higher than other places, but this is what you pay to get air con, as most places in Hue only have fan, which is unbearable during the day. The staff forgot our bottles of water but not a big deal. If you don't like MSG, make sure to ask them not to add any (we show the image on Google and they understood) I'd go back for a lunch in town

Lively restaurant with amazing food. The caramelised tofu is SO good, one of the best tofu dishes I’ve had in Vietnam. My friends tofu yellow curry was delicious too an so filling. Also the chicken Pho was tasty too. Would highly recommend here if you’re staying in Hue. Large parties can be catered for here.

Restaurant favored by Westerners that serve good local beer and great food! Dishes are freshly prepared and you can see part of the preparation process in the kitchen that you might pass if you chose to sit on the first floor.

A very nice restaurant with warm atmosphere and very good service. The food was tasteful and we tried the local beer which was really nice. Ngan our waitress was always with a smile and extremely kind. If you are in Hue do not hesitate and eat there.

UPDATED BELOW: Tourist trap. Overpriced. Food was far from authentic. Service was horrible-we were asked to move tables to accommodate a larger party, brought us the wrong drinks. Overall bad experience. Whoever wrote this place had the best beef noodle soup they've ever tasted is flat out wrong, lying, or has never had instant noodles. We had green curry (God awful), shrimp hotpot (waaay to salty) and beef noodle soup. If u read the reviews and decide to visit this place, just take a look inside and see how many of their customers are local vietnamese as opposed to tourists. Then ask urself are u really getting good authentic food? UPDATE: The manager came by and asked about our dinner after he noticed we barely touched it. After hearing our feedback, he comped our meal. This was both unnecessary and over and beyond customer service expectations. Rating raised from 1 star to 3.
