  Authentic Hue food in a cozy space! Nón Huế is a clean and beautifully decorated local restaurant in Hue. The fresh spring rolls were super fresh with rich, flavorful dipping sauces. I also tried the Hue-style tasting platter – all the cakes were well-seasoned and delicious. The highlight for me was the peach-orange lemongrass tea – very refreshing and perfect for a hot day! The grilled pork spring rolls were a bit oily for my taste, but overall the experience was great. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic Hue food in a nice, relaxed setting.

  Amazing food in a beautiful setting. This restaurant is run by people who truly love food and you can tell. Prices are fair. A great spot for travellers looking to try Hue's delicacies. Plus, 2% of the proceeds go back to the community; a perfect way to support! Much love from Thailand :)

  Really love this place. The bun cha is probably the best I've ever had. I've seen some people say it's bland but obviously you need to add the sauces, and there's usually everything you need right on the table. The meat is amazing and the portion is very generous. I also really enjoy the baby clam stir fry and the banana blossom salad with prawns. The steamed banana cake is incredibly good, wonderful dessert. This is a rare spot with genuinely delicious food.

  Quán Nón was one of the highlights of my culinary experience in Hue. The food was wonderfully authentic, full of fresh flavors, and beautifully representative of the region's rich culinary traditions.   Our host recommended this place for authentic cuisine of Hue and Vietnam and it is great! You can try different traditional dishes here, they taste delicious. The restaurant is clean, the decor is nice and the young staff is really friendly and helpful! Their menu even shows how to eat certain dishes which makes it easier if you’re not local :)

  We appreciated the detailed menu that describes authentic Vietnamese foods (and explains how to properly eat them!). We branched out and tried some new dishes, all of which were delicious and reasonably priced. We received great service, and the server was able to accommodate our request for no seafood and even offered substitutes.

  We came for dinner twice and have tried different dishes. All were delicious. Staff were friendly. It would be wonderful if they could get some AC; it’s quite hot. Not sure they could get pest control done (there were some annoying tiny bugs); maybe use some insect repellent.

Located in Huế, this restaurant focuses on traditional regional dishes, prepared in a way that feels genuine and homemade. If you’re looking to taste authentic Huế cuisine, this is definitely a great choice. We ordered the famous tasting platter and another dish featuring the small local “tapas-style” specialties that Huế is known for. Both were excellent and offered a great introduction to the region’s diverse food culture. Each small portion had its own distinct flavor and texture, showcasing the complexity of Huế cuisine — spicy, aromatic, and full of balance between salty, sweet, and umami notes. The tasting platter was particularly fun to eat because it gave us a chance to try a little bit of everything — from steamed rice cakes and grilled pork to various savory bites that combined freshness and spice beautifully. It’s the kind of dish that makes you appreciate the creativity and refinement behind central Vietnamese cooking. The small local dishes, often compared to little “tapas,” were also delicious.
