  Amazing tour through the imperial city. We’ve got so much information and learnt a lot about the Kings, in from of anecdotes or stories. Our Guide Linh was very kind and funny. He made great jokes and it was obvious he was greatly informed about the history of the place. Can only highly recommend this tour by Hue Free Walking Tours. Pro Tip: Book the tour in the afternoon, it is not that hot at that hour, also no crowds. It was like we were almost the only people in the imperial city at some point.

  What an awesome tour! Linh has a great Talent to edutain people - with his very broad and deep knowledge and sharing it with us in a very entertaining and engaging way, at the same time very professional. He’s very cheerful, passionate, enthusiastic and also inspiring. It was so much more than just a Tour. Do the tour with him - you won’t regret.   We joined two tours with Hue Free Walking Tours: the first in the Imperial City with Linh, and the second a food tour with Ruby. Both were absolutely fantastic! Linh and Ruby are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The Imperial City is breathtaking, and the food in Hue is simply unforgettable. If you visit Hue, don’t miss these tours — they’re an amazing way to experience the city’s culture and charm!

  Really enjoyed this walking tour of the Imperial City. Communication beforehand was good about where to meet etc. Linh was a fantastic guide, engaging, funny and informative about the history. Also made sure we were all ok on a very hot day! Stopping in shaded areas while sharing information. We were given time to explore on our own as well. Linh also gave some great recommendations for round the city, had a great dinner with other people from the tour. Recommend!

  I have been traveling South East Asia for 4 months and can easily say Linh been the best tour guide I’ve encountered. Linh is incredibly knowledge, friendly and funny. His tour is interactive by asking the group questions while also providing us with information. A couple times throughout the tour he would show us images on his phone to help us better understand a historical event or person he had just discussed. HIGHLY recommend booking this tour! This was the highlight of my time in Hue!

  We've been been in South East Asia for two months and been on a number of tours, but this one is way ahead of any of the others. Linh, our guide, was incredible. He has a remarkable breadth of knowledge about the citadel and Vietnamese history from before the Chinese occupation through to the civil wars of the 17th and 18th centuries to the creation of the Nguyen dynasties to the French colonial period and beyond. And he makes it interesting and occasionally funny as he retells the gossip of the times. I totally loved this tour and Linh. I would go again if I had the time.

  We had a great tour with Linh - he is very informative and knowledgeable about the Imperial City and its’ history. He spoke English very well and so it was easy to follow. We enjoyed his company! It took about 2.5 hours and was well-paced. We highly recommend Linh’s tour!
