  I spent 2 nights in the De Mekong Hostel and I never felt that cosy in an hostel. The dormitory room is just so comfy and cute! We have space and even a balcony with some plants. The place is really calm, the beds are comfortable and there are curtains. The AC works perfectly and you can regulate to the temperature you want. In the hostel, there is everything you need, blow-dryer, soap, shampoo, hot water, etc. It’s super clean and welcoming. The breakfasts are included and I ate a delicious and generous omelette with Banh Mi bread and bananas crepe. When you arrive, there is a delicious welcome drink, and if you are hungry, Toh (the owner) can cook you delicious meals. She is the most lovely person : so friendly and helpful. She can help you organise your stay or your departure from the city, and would give you good local food recommendations :). I spent some time with her and those moments were the highlight of my stay. I recommend 100% booking there with her.

  We loved our stay at De Mekong Hostel very much! The rooms and the bathroom were really clean and tidy. The owner Tú welcomed us warm hearted and we felt very comfortable. The breakfast was great too. We would definetly recommend this hostel for a stay in My Tho!

  One of the most welcoming places I ever stayed at! Tù makes your visit feel Like visiting friends or family. She has the best recommendations, is an amazing Chef and just one of the kindest, warm-hearted people I ever met. The hostel is rather small, so you get in touch with other travellers easily if you like to.

  The owner Tu is a wonderful person, she accompanied us on a boat tour on local farms skipping all the most touristic places, she is always up for a chat and we spent hours exchanging knowledge about our culture. In the evening, we cooked together a family dinner and the food was spectacular. We had only one night there but I definitely recommend to stop there for a while, the place is super cute and confortable, and Tu I wish you all the best!

  I just spend 1 night here to explore My Tho at the Mekong delta and had a very good experience. The homestay was cozy and clean. I joined a local boat tour. And I also got some nice recommendations to visit myself. And I got help with booking the bus to Can Tho. And all for a very good price. I would certainly recommend staying here to anyone who wants to explore the Mekong delta!

  The Mekong Delta Hostel in My Tho is a wonderful place to get to know the „normal“ vietnamese life in the Mekong. Thú was the most pleasant and nice host we‘ve met so far on our tour. She helped us with all the planning, provided us with information, expertice about the region and gave us a wonderful inteoduction into the Mekong/vietnamese cooking. I highly recommend staying at her little, very clean and beautiful hostel, if you are interested in vietnamese culture and cuisine and need someone who can answer all of your questions about the daily life and costumes of the people living in Mekong Delta. Thank you very much for the lovely stay!

  This hostel was extremely clean and very comfortable. The beds offer great privacy thanks to the curtains, which makes a huge difference when you want a bit of personal space in a hostel. The host is incredibly kind and helpful … she even lent me her private scooter, which was amazing since there are very few tourists in the village and hardly any places to rent one. She speaks excellent English, making conversations easy and enjoyable. It’s really nice to talk with her, and the whole place feels calm and authentic. A perfect spot to slow down and stay away from the typical tourist mainstream. Highly recommended!
