  Pretty good local Izakaya with good and affordable craft beer. I had several dishes and I liked their smoked duck and fried shrimps the most, but other ones were pretty good as well. The staffs were all very nice as well.

  Only problems: 1. Lots of beer out of stock. It's all so good so it's not surprising. 2. No untapped for ratings (get on that). Seriously good beer.

  This was a rare find, tucked away in a more residential area. They brew their own draft beers and have a decent selection to chose from. Prices are lower than in the tourist area, and the beers are very tasty. It's also a restaurant with tylical Vietnamese food and beer snacks, and there was even some live music.

  This microbrewery on a quiet residential street near Co-op mart is a great find that deserves to be a lot more popular. They have quite a nice selection from IPA, to heavy stout, to fruity fresh ginger beer, and they all taste like proper beers, not a given in Vietnam in this price bracket ( most glasses under 30k). Add to that a menu of very reasonably priced drinking food such as snail rolls, smoked duck breast or roasted pork belly with galangal and you have a winner. It's a 15 min walk or short cab ride from the tourist area and I promise you won't regret this trip.

  We were surprised that the reviews were so good. We ordered 4 steaks and in 40 minutes we got only 1 (it was awful- raw and hard to chew): we were also gobsmacked at the portion sizes (the same fries for locals was really huge, but for us it looked like 50 grams) The most fascinating fact is that we were charged for the wipes (they didn’t even have any tissues or water on the tables) For that price we expected so much better service and food. The only advantage I could highlight is high quality of the beer🤭

  I am baffled by the reviews. No one mentions that the napkins are not free. I have traveled to many countries, but this kind of scam is a first for me. The beef was so tough, it felt like the cow had been tortured for a month in Guantanamo before being served. We ordered two portions of potatoes, and they looked like there was a huge shortage in the country. But the local Vietnamese had plenty of potatoes! One portion with beef and two portions of potatoes were brought quickly. Everything else didn’t arrive even after 40 minutes, so we decided to leave. The beer was good. The staff were very kind. Everything else was a nightmare. Near the Vinh Hai market, there is a local eatery where they serve food so well that they deserve a monument. I expected much more from this place, especially since it was recommended by а blogger. Judging by everything, the review was probably paid for.
