  Had a nice peaceful stay at this hostel. The staff are really lovely, welcoming and helpful, rooms are secure and clean, bathrooms are also very clean with plenty of showers (good quality shower too) and toilets. Great location too right near the main road in tam coc! You get 2 storage lockers at the head of your bed and underneath the bed. I booked a day tour with them which I really enjoyed, and the laundry service was useful to have too. Recommended if you want a cheap, clean, chilled place to stay!

  Had a great stay at Tam Coc Backpack Chill Hostel! The dorm rooms are comfortable, modern, and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning is modern and works perfectly. Great location too, and the staff are absolutely top-notch , friendly, helpful, and really accommodating. They even let us shower after check-out, which was a huge plus. There are plenty of showers available, and they’re clean, spacious, and modern, with great hot water and strong pressure. Highly recommend for anyone passing through Ninh Binh!

  Honestly such a good stay here. The whole place has this slightly boujee but still super chill backpacker vibe ✨ The staff helped with literally everything — super friendly and always around. You can tell they really care. Also drinks are cheap which is always a plus 🍹 The pool area is amazing for relaxing during the day, and breakfast for 40k is actually really worth it. Everything is super clean all the time and the rooms smell really fresh 🧼 Nothing to complain about at all — just a really nice, easy place to stay. Would 100% come back 🙌

  The hostel location is great and very close to the city center. They offer rental motorbikes and bicycles at very cheap prices. The facilities are also great, with a pool, an elevator, and huge beds with curtains that give you good privacy. The only downside I can think of is the 2 pm check-in time, but it’s honestly not a big issue since they let you use the shower and provide a towel for free, so you can still go out and explore in the morning. The beds are really spacious, and I like that they have stairs instead of a ladder for the upper bunks, which makes it much easier to get up. Special mention to Tao / Thao, who was kind and helpful with everything. I even accidentally left my jacket at the storage area and ID at the rental station, and instead of having to travel back for 6 hours, they arranged to have it shipped to my hostel in Ha Giang. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone planning to stay in Ninh Bing.

  My stay was excellent. Stayed in the dorms and they were very clean along with the bathrooms which are many. They have a waiting room for travellers who have not checked in yet. Its a few hundred meters from the main Tam Coc street which is awesome as its quiet at night. The staff is very cordial and kind. Soft spoken and ready to help you with any bookings you may require. The lady on duty even escorted me to the main road for my bus pickup. 100% recommend this place.

  It's decent, the beds are comfy and have curtains. The bathrooms are large and clean. There is a nice social area with swimming pool and a pool table. It has a very good location as well in the centre of Tam Coc. The only negatives are the rooms are very cramped, the beds take up all the room so there is hardly any space to move around. Cars can't drive down the street so it's a 5ish minute walk with all your stuff to a point where you can get a grab if you are arriving or checking out from the hostel.

  Very unwelcoming and cold male receptionist with glasses (the young,slim one in the orange shirt not the other one who seemed helpful) . When I went to check in he didn’t look up from his computer to acknowledge I was there or to greet me. Then when he finally looked up I said I would like to check in (after the correct check in time) and he remained cold and unfriendly and had an off attitude. It didn’t feel good and made me unsure of this hostel after reading the great reviews - it was a bad first impression. Removed 1 star for this However over the next few days thankfully there were other staff members at reception, and all these ladies were lovely to deal with. They were friendly and had a nice attitude. If you don’t get that first staff member, you’ll be fine. Rooms are decent and showers are nice with hot water. The bedsheets can be old and pilling a lot which makes for a scratchy sleep rubbing against your skin, but they were clean.

  It’s… okay. Vietnam isn’t known for its fantastic hospitality or excellent service and this place is no exception. While the hostel is good value for money, they don’t offer much apart from a bed and shower. There’s limited food options, and you’ll have to go to a place nearby to eat and drink. They don’t even allow refilling water bottles from their kitchen and will insist you buy bottled water. The housekeeping staff will enter the room at 9am and talk loudly while they clean. The only things I enjoyed were the fact that I got a good night’s sleep. Their beds are comfortable, the air conditioning is perfect, the space is quiet, and the bathrooms are clean.
