What a kind owner and family! A dog followed us in, leaded us to a table where we had some very affordable food. But the fun started after the food, with the amazing view and sunset. The family brought us some bananas as a free dessert, and offered us some delicious banana wine. Because i loved it she refilled it without hesitation. They also brought us a fan when we sat in the field in front of the lotus pond. Also showed us how to eat the lotus and came back regularly to give us new, and we were welcome to pick our own too. Tldr: amazing service, great family

Wonderful... genuinely Wonderful! Beautiful, friendly attentive service... relaxed with a smile. The view/location is sublime... perfect for sunset. Read the lowest reviews first... please to say things have definitely improved. We had the meat based set menu (for 1 pax)... it was plentiful and each dish delicious. My Vietnamese GF said it was like eating at home 🤗 The beef fried rice was also excellent. Very tender quality beef (not alot though) lots of veggies, crispy fried onions... it was very authentic and very tasty... a good portion too. The owner offered us to try some banana infused corn wine... we declined as we were driving... however, she then brought us some homemade infused tea.. which again was beautiful, refreshing and clearly made with love ❤️. It wasn't overly hot but as the sunset and the mosquito were about to feed... the owner came over and turned on the fan to determine them. Simply excellent service 👏 Prices are very reasonable for what is a tourist area. We will definitely return to try the veg set menu and some other dishes. Xin cam on nhe

Great meal and best service I’ve had in Vietnam. Family run restaurant, Amazing view, great service, fixed menu meat and veg options. Great prices - 130,000 for the fixed menu. 20,000 for beer. This place is absolutely marvelous. They also have a pool table and comfortable seats right by the lake. Even worth driving here and not just if passing by.

A beautiful and charming family run restaurant, stunning setting amongst lit up lotus fields with sparkly lights. Such a lovely family. We had the set menu which was so yummy and very good value for money, the crispy fried fish and the spring rolls were excellent - we were kindly also served homemade tea and a small sample of banana wine to try afterwards aswell. If you go to one place in Ninh Binh for dinner it has to be here!!

Everything was just wonderful! It's a beautiful place, even though we were unlucky with the weather, but in clear weather the sunsets here should be amazing. Delicious food is like at home, the service is great. The hostess told us in detail about each dish, and also treated us to banana wine. We recommend everyone to visit this place, we wish the owners all the best!

We had an amazing dining experience at Chef Dung. The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was beautifully presented, packed with flavor, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each bite reflected the care and craftsmanship that goes into the cooking.

Fantastic meal. We went with the set menu and every dish was spot on. The spring rolls were delicious, definitely the best. We got a smoothie and it was very refreshing and sweet. The staff were great too, definitely planning on coming back. And the view was beautiful!

Okay, I don't even know where to begin. I felt the warmth and the hospitality the second I walked in. They have a beautiful pond with Lotuses overlooking the cliffs. We had some food which was pretty good and they lit fire for us and gave us free snacks and drinks(local banana wine). We were chilling by the fire for almost 2 hours. The lady was kind and warm. She also gave us snacks to take with us at the end. It was a very calming and wholesome experience. Must visit!
