  A fantastic dinner for two....the duck came with 3 dishes, great value and a great tasting dish. As a New Zealanders we did not quite understand the volume as we thought we ordered for two but this could certainly been for 4. The only thing I wished was the menu to say if its good for 2, 3 or 4 people, but hey that's a fun of being a tourist and going with the flow. It was a nice peaceful atmosphere (no loud tooting, street traffic orloud music) ot was nice to have a dinner without the chaos and a nice conversation. We also got the this famous banana wine we had been hearing about on our trip... also good for 3-4 people to share, this grows on you with every nip you take. (As I sip some more of this at my hotel room writing this review) The Manager was awesome, very polite, professional, and had a good sharp eye if we needed anything. Hey you Euro tourist (inc ozzy and kiwis), get away from Tam Coc and Old Town and make a well worth effort to dine here as the full menu is very good! Good quality and value.

  During our trip to Ninh Binh, we were on the lookout for a top-quality restaurant, specifically one that served the best duck in the area. After using ChatGPT for restaurant recommendations, we stumbled upon this fantastic spot, and we’re so glad we did. Though it’s a bit off the beaten path, away from the typical tourist areas, it was definitely worth the detour. The food was exceptional, and we only wish we had been part of a larger group to try even more dishes. Every item on the menu looked incredibly appetizing. The restaurant itself was clean, and the service was friendly and attentive. We were the only foreigners dining there, which speaks volumes about its popularity among the local community. Overall, this restaurant provided one of the best meals we had during our time in Vietnam. Highly recommended for those seeking authentic high-quality dining experience in Ninh Binh.

  We arrived at this restaurant, a little out of the city center, after a long and exhausting search, and I must say it was well worth it. We tried the noodles with seafood, a very generous dish. Then we had the duck, served in three dishes, which was really difficult for three people to finish—so much so that we reluctantly had to leave some behind because it was so good. Then we had the escargot, also huge, flavorful, and served with an orange sauce. All of this was accompanied by a Chilean white wine. We also really liked the atmosphere and the waiters were really nice.

  We had seafood hotpot. The seafood is fresh, however it would be much better if inner part of squid were cleaned thoroughly. The rice wraps was thin and crispy, just perfect to wrap the yummy fried fish. Originally, the hotpot soup was a bit too sweet, so need to add salt to make it balance. Overall, it was good.

  Excellent value for money! The duck was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Although they didn’t speak English, we managed to communicate easily using Google Translate and ChatGPT. We were 4ppl and ordered the sticky rice on top which was delicious as well but too much!

  The food is delicious! I recommend ordering the fish, chicken, and lamb. The fried mushrooms were also very good. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and there are private rooms that cater to groups up to 10+ people!

  The food was just okay and didn't quite meet my expectations. The prices were reasonable, though. The service was attentive, and the restaurant was clean with a pleasant atmosphere.

  We arrived at 9:05 PM after driving 30 minutes specifically to visit this restaurant, only to be refused entry because they claimed the restaurant had closed at 9:00 PM. However, Google clearly stated that it closes at 10:00 PM, and when we pointed this out, the staff looked completely surprised. After an argument, they reluctantly let us in, but with such a sour attitude that it immediately made us feel unwelcome and not want to stay. Once we were seated, we asked to order the restaurant’s famous duck dish, and the waitress told us, “That portion is too big for you,” even though we certainly didn’t ask for her opinion on that. A terrible experience overall. We would not recommend this place and suggest avoiding it.
