The owner was so lovely and friendly. She was incredibly attentive and gave us amazing service. The hospitality here was above and beyond. The food was exceptional. It was home cooking done at another level. You can taste the love and thought put into each dish. We ordered more food than we needed to but we ate pretty much all of it because we could not stop eating. I will always remember the vegetarian fried rice here, it has been one of my favorite things I have eaten.

If you are looking for a meal that tastes like home, this is the place to look for. The place is huge so it is never crowded, the owner is a lovely woman who speaks several languages including English well. She serves the most amazing plates with a smile. We tried chicken cheese and chicken skewers, both plates were super amazing! To top it all off the place has AC which allows one to enjoy the food that much more! ♡

You're missing out if you don't eat here! Fantastic family restaurant with the most delicious food. We had the stir fried goat, shrimp in coconut sauce and the chicken skewers, all equally excellent. On top, a very friendly lady happy to guide you what you should pick to eat.

I drove a scooter from Hao Lu old town because the reviews here were so good. I was not disappointed. The food was great. I had the coconut shrimp which I would highly recommend (and did to a couple who was trying to figure out what to eat). It was really good. Staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and make you feel very welcome. You can’t beat what you get for the price. It’s very reasonable and affordable. Beers are super cheap at just 15,000 for the local beer. I was very happy with this place and will likely go back again during my short time in Ninh binh

The best restaurant in Tam Coc by far. The most incredible food and fresh dishes with the best basil I’ve had. We came here twice and felt so welcomed by the hosts. The goat with lemongrass was unreal as well as the fried spring rolls. So good! Will come back again and for sure have to try it & get off the main strip of Tam Coc. A must and my favorite place!!!!

So delicious. My favorite meal in Vietnam. Incredibly tasty and owner was very friendly and helpful with my dietary needs (vegan) and I heard her helping a table next to us figure out gluten free options. It was so good we came back on into last night in tam coc. I will be dreaming of the tofu and veggie bowl with rice noodles. VERY affordable too. Good prices!

During our travels in Ninh Binh, we stumbled upon a truly remarkable dining experience off the bustling Tam Coc main streets. Nestled on a quiet side road, this eatery offered not only a peaceful ambiance but also an unforgettable culinary journey. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by the owner, who was incredibly friendly and provided fantastic recommendations. Her husband, the talented chef, crafted dishes bursting with authentic Vietnamese flavors. We savored the succulent duck with basil and the tender goat with lemongrass, and we also ordered the crispy burnt rice and the zesty papaya salad, both of which perfectly complemented the main dishes. What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch. We were the only customers that afternoon, and our food arrived in mere minutes. After the meal, we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, who shared insights into their cooking techniques and the fresh herbs they use. If you’re a food enthusiast seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine away from the tourist crowds, this place is a must-visit. It’s not only great value for money but also a delightful escape into the heart of local flavors. We’ll definitely return every time we’re in Ninh Binh.

Probably the only place in town with legitimate reviews. Down an alley away from the main street, a lovely walk really. Good layout with very kind efficient staff. Vietnamese food softened to please western palate but has condiments there to adjust accordingly. Sesame crumbed pork was my favourite but a sauce with it would have really clinched it. Had the eggplant stir-fry (yummm), pork skewers (a little dry but loved the capaicum) and the papaya salad. All enjoyed and served quickly. Definitely recommend
