  We spent two nights at An Riverside Ecolodge and had a very pleasant experience. The family that owns and runs this place is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location is beautiful and a quick Grab ride away to all attractions. Highly recommended.

  Lovely staff, very tranquil and quiet area beautiful views right outside the Homestay. Pushbikes free to use for guests and mopeds are cheap to rent for a day. Highly recommend! The rooms were nice and clean and we basically had the place to ourselves!!

  We visited the Trang An area hoping for the family-run homestay experience, but as we travelled over Tet many small guesthouses were closed. We were very lucky to find a beautiful room at An Riverside. Very clean, with all new fittings and linen. Hai and her small team were most helpful to everyone. Included breakfast and use of bikes appreciated. I expect this stunning area will be developed over coming years so glad to have visited now. Much more to our liking than Tam Coc. Note: we were a bit surprised to have payment requested on arrival in VND, be prepared for this!

  We absolutely loved our stay at An Riverside Ecolodge in Ninh Binh 🤍 The hotel is incredibly beautiful, peaceful and perfectly integrated in the amazing surroundings. It was so easy and enjoyable to walk our dogs around — and biking around The staff were truly kind and welcoming, and they were especially sweet with our dogs, which meant a lot to us. Everything was just perfect from start to finish… and they even gave us snacks for the road when we left Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay — we would 100% come back!

  We arrived late and at first we were worried because the hotel is far from the city center, but it was not a problem at all. The location is beautiful, quiet, and the hotel is very clean. We had breakfast with a lovely mountain view. The receptionist rented us a scooter, which made exploring the city very easy. You can also buy bus tickets at the hotel, and the bus stops right in front of it. We could leave our backpacks at the hotel during the day. At the end, we even received some food for the road, which was a very nice gesture. Highly recommended!

  Review: An Riverside Ecolodge – Ninh Binh An Riverside Ecolodge offers a peaceful and scenic retreat that really lets you experience the natural beauty of Ninh Binh. While the location isn’t the most central or immediately convenient, it’s still very easy to reach by Grab, taxi, or private car, so getting around is not a problem. What makes the lodge special is its setting. Surrounded by dramatic karst landscapes and lush greenery, the property feels like a natural haven where you can truly slow down and connect with the environment. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing—perfect after a day exploring the area’s caves, rivers, and temples. Another pleasant surprise is the neighborhood. Despite the tranquil setting, the lodge is right next to several charming garden bars where you can unwind in the evening. There’s also a highly regarded local goat restaurant nearby, a great opportunity to try one of Ninh Binh’s signature dishes. Overall, An Riverside Ecolodge strikes a wonderful balance: secluded enough to feel immersed in nature, yet still accessible and close to good local food and relaxed nightlife. A great choice for travelers looking for a calm base while exploring Ninh Binh.

  overall decent stay set against a beautiful setting, but couple of points to note if you plan on booking: 1. The number of massive mosquitos in my room every night despite closing all doors was ridiculous - I understand not being able to control nature, but would appreciate a mosquito net or repellant / electric swatter to be provided. 2. Location - I found it very difficult to order a grab, highly recommend renting a motorcycle.

  Phenomenal location with great staff – a few minor drawbacks: We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely phenomenal, nestled right between the stunning karst mountains and a peaceful little lake. It’s incredibly scenic and offers a great escape, yet you can reach Ninh Binh or Tam Coc very quickly if you’re looking for some evening bustle. The highlights: Staff: Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Food: The meals were good and very convenient to have on-site. Rooms: Our room was clean and quite spacious compared to other places we’ve stayed. Things to note: There is currently quite a bit of construction going on in the immediate vicinity. During the day, it can get a bit noisy, so it’s something to keep in mind if you plan on relaxing at the hotel during the afternoon. Room-specific issue: We stayed in Room 107. Unfortunately, there was a kind of unpleasant smell coming through the ventilation system in the bathroom. We cannot speak for the other rooms, but this was a bit of a downside for us. Overall: Despite these minor inconveniences, we had a lovely time. The breathtaking views and the hospitality made it a great experience overall!
