Tam Coc – Bich Dong river boat ride is a calm and scenic experience, lasting about 1.5 hours through limestone cliffs and low caves. Tickets are typically not purchased at the main ticket area near the Tam Coc boat pier. From there, a yellow tram takes you on a very short ride to the tam Coc bus station where you buy tickets. It’s best to go early to avoid crowds and heat, as the route is mostly exposed to the sun. The slow pace and quiet surroundings make it relaxing, but sun protection is important. Overall, a scenic ride that is easy to do with minimal planning.

One of the awesome place in Vietnam. It's a must visit place. Nearly 1.5 to 2 hrs travel from HANOI. The place will look like cg edited. It's nature's mesmerising view. This boating will give a breath taking view. Nearly 2.5 hrs boating around the hills, through the cave, lotus pond, flock of ducks. I went to the place without any idea or expectations. I know it's a boating place, but I didn't expect it will give. Agood nice feel, relaxing and nature's mesmerising view .

After visiting Hoa Lu, we came to Tom Coc to take a bamboo boat trip. The trip is about 2 hrs and the surroundings and scenery is really breathtaking. No wonder they call it Ha Long Bay on land.

Beautiful boat ride through caves and limestone cliffs. Calm, scenic and well worth the trip ! No wonder they filmed Kong here ! Entry fee of 350k for a top highlight is reasonable. We had 2 boats with three ppl each boat. Compared to some reviews here our paddlers were nice and pleasant. Our guide ( which might have influenced their behaviour ) told them not to stop us at any souvineer shops . Towards end of ride we were shown some tapestry works which are quite a nice souvineer. We asked our paddler the price but he couldn’t understand a word of English and just laughed and smiled as he took them back from us as we couldn’t communicate . The other boat bought 2 embroidery paintings for a total of 300k which we were happy to take as souvineer. The photography was more pushy and less pleasant . We were told 30k for photo but by the end of it the guy kept insisting 140k for to take all 10 photos they printed . After repeating 3 times that 2 photos are enough we decided it wasn’t worthwhile hassling for 10 eu . In hindsight ppl like me who eventually give in is what makes these Ppl keep doing the same thing to others so apologies in advance.

We booked a day tour to Ninh Binh using klook. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning around 8 am. From hoi an ancient town to pagoda to lunch and then to tam coc island for a boat ride. It was quite sunny and the boat ride is roughly 1.5 hrs. It was quite hot and you need to carry googles, hat, sunscreen to avoid getting sun burnt. Carry water bottles too. The boat ride is good and quite scenic. You will pass through paddy fields and under the cave and a bridge but just take precautions with the sun. Two people on one boat and they paddle using their feet. Dinh bay and 2-3 small bays pass by. Tam Coc boat tour is a boat trip through the scenic karst landscape of Ninh Binh province, Vietnam, often called "Inland Halong Bay". Local rowers guide you in traditional sampan boats through rivers winding between rice paddies and under limestone mountains, passing through three natural caves called "Tam Coc" (Three Caves). The tour can be booked as part of a day trip from Hanoi, which may also include cycling through rural villages and visiting historical sites like Hoa Lu Ancient Capital or Mua Cave, with options for private or small-group tours
