Very good restaurant - good food and many options

  • 4a year ago

We visited as part of a tour group and were offered a wide range of dishes, both Western and Asian. We dined upstairs in a spacious, air-conditioned area which made the experience comfortable, especially on a warm day. I especially enjoyed the way the mountain goat was cooked — tender and flavourful, especially with the dipping sauce. The spring rolls were another highlight. I only tried the Asian dishes, so I can’t comment on the Western ones, but overall the food was decent.

This has been by far the worst experience that we have with this company related to a TRANSPORTATION SERVICE. We rent a return trip with our Hotel in Hanoi to Ninh Binh, the return trip to Hanoi airport was a nightmare that we won’t never forget. After a chat with our hotel to see different options for the return trip we decided to reserved a Limousine Van straight to Hanoi airport. We departed at 2:30pm, our flight was at 7:50pm. Of course, we had to pay even more for this trip, but as the way back to the airport was confirmed we preferred to go straight and try to avoid any inconvenience. This service was not even close to be guaranteed. When we were in the Van nearly close to 1 hour of our departure flight the driver took the opposite direction to the airport. We realize and I tried to speak to the driver with many different ways of translation to Vietnamese (he didn’t speak any word of English), but he just didn’t care at all, he continued his way a shouting on me I am sure not nice stuff. It was not about the language it was about for them, we are just money. I tried to speak with different support phones of this non competent Service transport, and not a surprise, none of them give us any possibility: “mum you are in a shared van” “mum we cannot go to the airport”… what? What about my guaranteed service that I payed with interests? Seeing that we were going to lose the flight, my partner just stand up and said, please stop the Van now. He immediately stopped, drop out the Van and started to launch all the luggage inside. My partner tell him which were ours, and we started to search for a taxi. He just flight away after this. Our staff was at the road and we were searching a taxi, when we get one, we realize that 2 of our back packages were not there. You can imagine the nerves, and kind of agony, we were close to lose the flight and we didn’t know what happened with our luggage. As our passport were in our hand baggage we decided to continue our way to the airport. We called the hotel, that was completely not caring about us in the process and continue saying “you will be on time at the airport, trust me”… excuse me is one hour ten to the departure time and we are in a jam in Hanoi going to the opposite way to the airport???, but we had to confirmed if our luggage was in the van. The hotel confirmed that our back packages were not in the van…. So we thought that we were robbed at Vietnam. The sad, frustration, agony to be robbed in a country that you are helpless, all the personal belongings lost, the cost of our staff… Half an hour later we receive a message for one of the transport company responsible saying that our luggage was in the van. They excuse themselves saying that”the driver was in hurry and put back all the luggage inside the van without seeing which were, that he was nervous because he had another service at 5:30pm and was 6:30 and he hadn’t finished the previous one…” All bullshit, what about the services that you have been paid for nd you have confirmed… They returned our luggage back to the hotel, and the hotel sent them to Hue 2 days after. Guess about the transportation fee of our lost luggage, of course was ours… Do not trust this company, they don’t care a piece of your security, your own resources, your experience, you are just money for them, nd they don’t pay back an expensive service that you reserved and agreed with them. The overall cost of this situation, with a service initially over paid, was massive but the worst is how hopeless and helpless you feel when you have to live situation like this. We won’t ever forget this experience, and for sure, we would like to try to prevent any one else to have same feelings and the list of money that we have.

We visited this place with our excursion group, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The buffet was one of the worst we've had. The food was lacked variety, and the quality was subpar. Overall, it did not meet our expectations, and we wouldn't recommend it for group visits.

I love vietnamese food. Here it doesn't taste good.

It's the cheap buffet that your tour will bring you. Nothing special, food is tasteless and usually is full of people.

Terrible food - it had been left out for a few hours and dried out and when we tried to fill up on fruit, that wasn’t ripe. Wouldn’t recommend.

Came here on a tour. None of us are picky eaters and we collectively agreed this was the worst buffet we’ve ever had. We found hairs in two different dishes. The red bean pastries had legit mold on them. All the meat dishes tasted rubbery and like they’d been sitting out all day. Could not find a single thing edible besides shrimp crackers… Seriously, if your tour comes here just walk down the street 20 feet to a different restaurant. This is what we did on the second day of tours. It’ll cost you an extra $5 per person or something.
