Learn about these Thiên Hà cave and Thiên Thanh cave from the Grab guy! We’re underestimate the caves as we visited Tam Coc and Trang A boat rides, so naturally anything not mentioned by the tour guide then it’s not worth a visit. But man-oh-man, what a surprise! A short boat ride, short walk, and ride another boat to Thiên Hà cave. Cool air gently enveloping you, and stalactites plus loads of draperies grace the ceiling. Colorful lights lit the background that made novice photographer (like us) looks like a pro🤣 Entrance cost is a bit stiff d200k/pax, d100-d200 tip of course it’s entirely up to you. Once look at nicely decorative pavilion and restaurant, you can see where every cent of entrance fee goes. The staffs and rower speaks very little English. Just be patience and follow their gestures. The guide will provide a small flashlight so you can find your ways up and down the steps. The second cave Thiên Thanh can visit by climbing 50-60 steps up and 10-15 steps down. The huge stalactite joins stalagmite to form a column at the end of the second cave. The host graciously offer to call a taxi if you need a right back! The restaurant has variety of water and sodas if you need. All in all, a great visit that just 20 minutes from Hoa Lu.

If you are thinking about doing the Galaxy Cave or a beat ride in Trang An, just do the Galaxy Cave. It's way less crowded (we were the only ones at 4pm). The tour taken roughly 1.5 hours which is also great if you do not want to spend 3 hours on a boat. The tour itself is very diverse and the cave is great as well. Great lighting, and we had a guide (boat driver) who took great photos of us. Tickets are 200.000 per person. We rented a scooter at our homestay to get here. Taxi or Grab will probably suffice as well.

This place is a hidden gem. We stumbled across is. There was no one else on the river, the caves were stunning, even if you aren’t a big cave lover you’ll enjoy this place. There’s a boat ride within the cave which takes you way inside. The boat ride to the cave was lovely, we saw beautiful king fishers, herons, storks and the egrets returning home at dusk. 2hrs with a really lovely local lady rowing for us. 200d each well spent.

Absolutely stunning!! I have never seen anything like the cage. It was so gorgeous, and there were so many bats. The person who gave us the tour. It was so kind and helpful and so beautiful English. The woman who helped us arrange the tour served us fresh banana bananas that she had picked from a banana tree, as well as as a fried banana and fried sweet potato and cold drinks when we first arrived at the location. Highly recommend!!

Most amazing cave in Ninh binh, tbh. When we were there in the morning, we were the only ones. It almost felt like off the beaten path. The cave itself is quite big and you can walk around with a flashlight to explore. There's also an underground river boat tour. In summer, there are thousands of bats.

It was amazing and it's well worth a visit. Google doesn't show the right way. It's only possible to get there from Dong Tam. There's no road along the river. Enjoy!

We were put having a bimble on the bikes and thought we would just rock up. What a result..yes its caves on a boat, cabe walk around and some steps but this is not a tourist hot spot, and that makes it better. It may jot be as fancy as some of the others but when you have the place almost to yourself (granted maybe time of day or fell lucky) but for £6. Absolutely mint.

The cave itself is incredibly beautiful and well-lit. We were alone in the cave, which made rowing through the silence a magical experience. The entire tour lasted a bit over an hour and we only visited 2 caves. However, there are a few things other travelers should be aware of. The entrance fee was 250,000 VND per person, which is higher than what many older reviews suggest. Additionally, our rower seemed to be in a big hurry, leaving us with very little time to take photos inside the cave because she walked very fast and did not really wait. At the end, things got quite uncomfortable when we tipped 20,000 VND and were demandingly told that we should give 50,000 VND instead, and she kept insisting until we did so. Since we were low on cash, this created a very awkward and unpleasant situation. While the cave is stunning, the rushed service and the pressure for more money left a bit of a bitter aftertaste.
