At first glance, the boat tour looked very touristy, but it actually didn't feel that way once we got going. For 250,000 VND per person, it is absolutely worth the money. The boat captains were super fun and made the experience great, and the nature around you is just unbelievable. You can choose between three different routes, and each one takes you through very beautiful caves and scenery. Even though it's a popular attraction, there were plenty of sections that felt completely peaceful and quiet. Definitely a must-do!

Easy to park and find ticket office. Got there about 8:30am so no queue. A very well oiled machine to handle lots of visitors. I had seen lots of reviews suggesting it can get very busy but even when we left about 11:30am there was still no queue. Make sure to take the steps down under the road to the boat departure point. We chose route 2 which was excellent. Hard to tell the difference between all of them but we felt we got great value for money with the number of caves and temples etc we got to see. Our boat man was lovely. We did our best to communicate despite not speaking each other's languages. You do get a leaflet when you get your ticket but id recommend just taking it all in and doing a quick google over a drink of the things you saw once back (that's what we did!) as there isnt alot of information on what you're seeing on your way around. The scenery is stunning and although busy on the water it is still peaceful. I was also pleasantly surprised with the number of toilets and options to get a drink. Remember also to tip your guide!

This is just brillant! I can imagine that it can get very crowded with over 2000 boats on a busy day but we had a great experience. No long waiting periods, nice caves, lovely photo spots, perfect staff. We had boat number 690 and such a nice lady driving us on the river. You can help paddle a little bit as well though :) worth the ride for sure!!

This was the highlight of my trip to Ninh Binh! Trang An is a 3-hour boat ride, and you can choose from Route 1–3 depending on what you want to see. I took Route 3, which goes around Trang An, and the views of the mountains, rivers, and caves were absolutely spectacular. If you’re solo, you’ll be grouped with 1–3 other people, which is convenient and makes the ride more enjoyable. This was by far the best activity I did in Ninh Binh, and I highly recommend it!

Everyone in this place is very helpful. Not only the ticket sales staff, but also everyone who works here: the parking attendants, the cafe staff, even the taxi drivers. I haven't had any bad experiences here. Parking is easy. Since I was on a bike, it was free, so unfortunately I don't know the prices. When buying tickets, we met a very helpful lady, who gave us detailed and good English information. We had time to look around. There are several shops in the area, if you want to buy a gift, you're in the right place. Several cafes and snack bars await thirsty and hungry travelers. The boat trips are 2-3 hours long, so maybe that's why it's worth having a few snacks before departure. There is also a Starbucks. Despite this, I chose another cafe, where I had an excellent Green Rice Cream Coffee. I highly recommend this to coffee and pleasant flavor lovers. This place is not just a port, but a pleasant place for a quiet rest.

It costs 300,000 VND for the boat trip, and it is absolutely worth it. The tour takes around 3 hours, offering breathtaking views of the valley and the river. The highlight is gliding through the narrow limestone caves, but be careful and remember to duck so you don't hit your head on the rocks! A must-do experience in Trang An.

An incredibly beautiful experience. We chose the cave route and it was definitely the right decision. The network of tunnels connecting different areas of Trang An is truly impressive as are the centuries-old temples along the way. I would do it again without hesitation.

I had my doubts about this. It was 40 degrees and the boats are small and slow. However we ended up having a great time. Do yourself and your boat guide a favor and help paddle. Its rewarding to pass all the lazy folks, you get more of a breeze, and the experience is more memorable. Very scenic. Make sure you tip your boat guide well!
