Such a great place to visit! Super peaceful and just gorgeous. I didn’t know what to expect but it’s basically a really beautiful lake that you can bike or walk around with a couple mini temples and a nice viewpoint. There are koi fish in the lake too and butterflies around. I would recommend walking unless you have mobility issues. I don’t think it’s necessary to rent a bike. One thing I would say is that there’s nowhere to get a substantial meal, only snacks (at least, when I was there the cafe was closed) - so make sure to eat good before.

Quiet and nice scenery. I think you dont have to rent a bike or an electric shuttle because the total walk is only around 2-3km. When i was walking around i saw this group of foreigners drawing the scenery. It was so fascinating to see them drawing, and their drawings are great too!!! I visit this place at weekday so there are not many tourists, and it was super quiet and calm.

Tuyệt Tịnh Cốc (Am Tiên Cave) is a hidden gem that you shouldn't miss. To truly enjoy the beauty here, you must rent a bicycle and ride around the lake; it’s the best way to explore the many poetic and picturesque corners of the valley. I highly recommend climbing up to Am Tiên Cave. Not only can you learn about the historical and spiritual significance of the site, but you’ll also be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire valley from above. Another lovely detail is the lake itself—it's full of fish, and you can buy food to feed them, which is quite a relaxing experience. It’s a very serene and scenic spot, perfect for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy nature.

Confused my the overrated or overpriced comments! This was an amazing viewpoint with an awesome cave temple. It’s like four dollars and there’s really no need to rent a bike. You can easily walk around the lake the the hike to the viewpoint is up stairs and pretty easy. This wasn’t on my original itinerary and my Airbnb host told me about it and glad she did.

Tuyệt Tình Cốc is one of those places that looks peaceful in photos, and somehow feels even better in real life. The scenery here is just… different. You’re surrounded by tall limestone mountains, quiet water, and layers of greenery in every direction. It’s the kind of view that makes you slow down without even trying. Walking around is super relaxing. There are a few viewpoints where you can stop and take in the mountains and the lake from above — honestly some of the best angles for photos. You can also bike around the area, which is an easy and fun way to explore without rushing. The paths are calm, and the air feels cleaner than most tourist spots. A fun surprise: the goats. Real mountain goats casually chilling on vertical rock faces like they’re in an action movie. Seeing them climb those cliffs is low-key one of the highlights of the trip. The whole area feels quiet and untouched. Perfect if you want a break from crowds and noise. It’s not a place where you “do a lot,” but that’s exactly why it works — the beauty is in the stillness, the mountains, the water, and just taking your time wandering around. If you’re already in Ninh Bình, Tuyệt Tình Cốc is absolutely worth a stop. Peaceful, scenic, and a nice contrast to the busier spots nearby.

Tuyet Tinh Coc wasn’t part of our original itinerary, but since we had some free time in the morning, we decided to visit—and we’re so glad we did. The place is incredibly serene and peaceful, offering a refreshing escape from the crowds. Bicycles are available for rent, but we chose to explore on foot, and it turned out to be the best decision. Walking allowed us to truly take in every corner, and we loved each and every spot. The area is filled with cute viewpoints and Instagram-worthy photo spots. It’s not crowded at all, making the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a must-visit place in Ninh Binh, and highly recommended for anyone looking for calm, beauty, and great photos.

This area is still up & coming, they’ve done so much to improve the grounds and still expanding currently. The area is a must see, it’s not much more than a few hours to walk around and view, yet very worth it. I would visit here again as the views and area were very nice and easy to get around and see. Not crowded at all, quiet, with restrooms and a small food & drink vendor. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

If you find somewhere peaceful and fresh to enjoy a half day walking, this place is the right choice. Ticket fee is vnd100k and totally appropriate for visitors to “spend” every penny. Unfortunately, it was still maintaining when we visited. Note that they have 2 gates to go in and out, so it is easy to confuse.
