  Our favourite place in our 5 weeks in SE Asia! Amazing location with the rooms, reception and restaurant areas overlooking the rice fields and mountains. A little foot bridge leads you across the river and up to the lodge (a trickle while we were there in dry season ). Each room a separate brick and clay building, large comfortable bed, hair drier, large bathroom with wet room shower. Outdoor covered reception area with pool table, fuzzball table and comfortable seats, restaurant also outdoor covered area. Both have filtered water to drink - no need for plastic bottles yeah!!! (2nd time this trip I have not had to use my filter to avoid single use plastics). We had the set menu dinner each night - 500k for 2 people, real good food about 7 different things - way too much food for us though! The guy who served the meals and cooked for us was so kind and friendly (through gestures and small words 😁), and the other guy, that did the check in and out, perfect English and lots of knowledge of the area. Breakfast was either thick large pancakes, or toast, with butter and honey, and thin omelette and fruit (perfect amount for us). Lots of walks to do from the lodge - about 2k to the right to go to the waterfall and cafes, and on up the hill to a path above the rice fields (8k round trip if you follow the path to the end and back around the loop) or to the left in a few km the lane ends in a bridge and turns into a path (also some motor bikes) and another k turns up the hill into the jungle more (we turned around at 3k but lots more to discover). A little further for bamboo boat ride and water wheels. Also trekking from here to other villages.

  I am very impressed with this homestay. In my opinion, this homestay is suitable for those who like quiet and relaxation. The space is clean and convenient.In particular, I found the host and staff extremely friendly. For me, the food here is delicious. I can eat and enjoy the scenery at the same time. That's great. This is the most wonderful eco-tour in Vietnam. I hope I can come here again and I highly recommend

  An absolute gem in the Vietnamese countryside. The rooms are beautiful clay huts, with AC and located close to a huge waterfall in which you can swim. At night you hear the sounds of the forest. Since the cabins aren't completely closed off, a gecko might wander in but a mosquito net around the bed provides good protection - Though if you absolutely hate bugs, then this might not be perfect for you. The staff is lovely, they offer cooking classes and help you find your way around Pu Luong. They even taught me and my girlfriend a traditional vietnamese card game! We stayed for 3 nights which I think is a good amount of time to see the highlights of Pu Luong.

  Absolutely wonderful rural escape! The hotel is beautifully set in a peaceful village surrounded by stunning nature. My room was spacious, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated — with a lovely balcony that offered the perfect spot to admire the scenery. Breakfast and meals were excellent, full of flavor and variety. Highly recommended for a relaxing and authentic experience in Pu Luong!

  Clinging to a hillside with idyllic views up and down the valley this is a place of ultimate relaxation. By day you will have troupes of butterflies to keep you company and by night you are serenaded by a frog chorus in the paddy fields.||The food was good, but options a bit limited if you don't eat meat. Pancakes, fruit and egg for breakfast. The staff will arrange scooter hire at $15 per day or $10 for a half day. Highly recommended. The roads here are relatively quiet and it was huge fun burning up and down the valley to the water wheels and the falls. ||This would be a 5-star review except that the pool was out of action during our stay (it had been a factor in our choice of accommodation). Also, even though we'd booked a double, there was only a twin room available on our first night so we had to move mid-stay. That said, the staff were very accommodating of a late check-out

  Pu Luong is a gorgeous escape from Hanoi. Blue skies and green beauty are a welcoming departure from the city. Pu Luong Riverside Lodge is a homestay style lodge that js rustic, but welcoming. The staff is super friendly, prices are outstanding and food is tasty and comforting Vietnamese home-style cooking. We rented motorbike taxis to show us around for 2 days and Bihn was a great guide! The accommodations are clean and rustic, and they care a great deal about the environment. This location is a great jumping off point for the area. It’s quieter and a bit more remote, so you can enjoy a serene area away from more touristy sections.

  We stayed one night at the lodge as part of a 3 day trekking trip. Vic and the staff provided amazing hospitality. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and the food was outstanding. We would have loved to stay longer.
