  I had a wonderful two-night stay here. The property is easily accessible by car, and the beach is just a few steps away from the room. The children especially enjoyed playing in the sand and having fun on the beach in the evenings. The host was very welcoming and also provided cooking services, so you don’t need to worry about meals during your stay.

  We had a great weekend at Timothe! The staff prepared us tons of vegan dishes on request and were very kind and hard working. The only downside is that the neighbors burn plastic trash and the pollution can be thick. This is not Timothe's fault, but you should be aware. Additionally, the beach in front of Timothe kept clean. A small note on the local community. There is a Vietnamese party spot not far that fills the beach with plastic trash every day. They drive jet skis at top speed THROUGH swimmers. Eventually, they are going to run over a snorkeler or swimmer who is under the water. The coral nearby is also completely dead. Just a year ago it was in much better conditions. This year, it is a graveyard. It's so sad to see the locals pollute and destroy nature with zero shame or remorse.

  We found the best beach in Vietnam! And stayed in the best apartment we had during our 3 month journey around Vietnam. At Timothe, Mathias and his family and the staff took excellent care of us during our 4 night stay. We were assisted with arranging transportation and the meals we ordered from the restaurant were delicious. The apartment is very spacious and well appointed with lots of charging outlets. Blackout curtains keep the sun out if you prefer not to wake up to a gorgeous sunrise   You can walk for miles on the beach which includes some interesting rock formations. If you're looking for a laid-back beach holiday we highly recommend Timothe's!

  Very friendly staff and good food. Room was clean but could need more care. Fantastic view and perfect for families with children. Unfortunately, there is not much going on around it.

  We had an unforgettable stay at Timothe Apartment! Located by what we believe is the best beach in Vietnam, this place is a true paradise. The beach is incredibly clean and peaceful—perfect for anyone looking to relax and immerse themselves in nature. The accommodation was comfortable and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a restful stay. One of the highlights was definitely the food—absolutely delicious! Every meal felt like a treat, with fresh ingredients and great local flavor. Timothe Apartment is an ideal getaway for those who want to unwind, enjoy nature, and escape the noise of city life. We’re already planning our return trip very soon. Highly recommended!

  The stay at Timothe Beach Apartment was just lovely. The rooms are clean and spacious and have a wonderful view. We had a big balcony where we could sit outside but still be protected from rain. On top of that, the beach is just fabulous and the whole team supported us with organising our arrival and departure.

  Positive This place is truly something special. The price-to-quality ratio is outstanding, and the location is incredible — directly on one of the most beautiful and untouched beaches you can visit. There is almost nothing around except a small remote fishing village, which makes the experience feel authentic, peaceful, and extremely relaxing. If you are looking for silence, nature, and a break from mass tourism, this is the right place. The room was clean, and despite ongoing tapwater issues in the village, everything is well organized. Free drinking water is provided, hot showers work without issues, and there is a place to rinse off after swimming in the ocean. The property has everything you need: hammocks, sunbeds, shaded areas, and plenty of space to relax. The food is good and freshly prepared. Matthias (owner), when present, is extremely helpful and solves problems immediately. He genuinely cares and improves the guest experience significantly. Overall, a very memorable stay in a beautiful and authentic place. Negative What makes the smaller issues more noticeable is that the place already has so much potential. It is very good, but with more attention to detail it could be exceptional. Some parts feel worn out and overdue for replacement. Hammocks, sunbeds, furniture, drains, and other small details have clearly seen better days. Nothing is broken, but many things feel old and neglected. More maintenance and care would improve the experience a lot. The restaurant food is good and freshly prepared, but waiting times are often too long — even when there are few guests. Everything is usually served at once instead of step-by-step, and one person often handles most of the work alone. The menu is also very large, which leads to many items being unavailable. Prices feel slightly high considering nearby simpler, cheaper, and faster alternatives. I could not really confirm the idea of an “independent restaurant,” as it seems to operate directly from the owners’ kitchen and is not separately branded. The biggest issue is the overall service approach. While staff are busy working, the lady of the house seems mostly absent from guest interaction. There is very little proactive hospitality, and guests often need to initiate everything themselves. Service is not unfriendly, but very passive. Stronger leadership and more guest focus would improve things greatly. Another issue is beach cleanliness. It is understandable that this is a local fishing village where waste management is not a priority. However, the amount of trash damages the otherwise paradise-like beach experience. In front of the hotel it is acceptable, but 50 meters left and right it becomes very poor, improving again about 1 km away. Regular cleanups or local initiatives could make a big difference. Someone has to start somewhere! The place is genuinely beautiful, and it would be a shame if it loses quality over time because small improvements are not made today. With a bit more care and attention, it could become outstanding.

  Charming off-the-beaten-path guesthouse in a rural coastal location. Let's start with the good: a scenic location on a sprawling white sand beach with mountains in the distance in an area that sees few tourists. The manager was an excellent cook and I must say we ate very well for each of our meals. She was even able to arrange a lobster beach BBQ with fat juicy local lobsters from her family farm. The overall setting is charming and rustic. The rooms however were a bit of a disappointment. The facilities are quite basic and in need of maintenance, repair and better cleaning, which is the fault of the owner not the staff. Small details like toilets that didn't flush, broken toilet hose holders, loose rusty faucets, a smelly shower, no blankets, lights that didn't work, moldy exposed plastic piping, just overall paint a picture of neglect and lack of attention to detail. Then there is the issue of beach pollution. Sadly because this area is largely fishing based, Phu Yen province and this peninsula in particular is among the most extremely affected areas I've seen in 7 years of living in Vietnam. Having to dodge plastic bags when swimming in the ocean is probably not what most people imagine doing on their beach vacation. The village of Vinh Hoa itself doesn't have much to offer in terms of food and beverage so it's suggested to eat at the hotel. The road to access this area is also quite bad so in general the area needs more investment for tourism to be more viable. Overall, we had a good time, but wouldn't go out of our way to come back.
