  Seafood is fresh and delicious! The flower crab and live oysters are particularly noteworthy. The squish with special Thai sauce is amazing. This place is also great for kids, offering porridge.

  A classic spot that you absolutely have to visit when you're in Vũng Tàu! The seafood here is incredibly fresh and tasty, it’s no wonder they’ve managed to stay so famous after all these years. I highly recommend checking this place out!

  One of the finest seafood meals I’ve had during my stay in Vung Tau, a quiet coastal town in Vietnam. We ordered lemongrass steamed clams and a delicate seafood congee garnished with bean sprouts and local aromatic herbs. All seafood was freshly caught the same day, delivering natural sweetness with light, uncomplicated seasoning that lets the ingredients shine. The restaurant sits right by the shore. We enjoyed our dinner while watching a stunning sunset over the bay. Generous portions, fair prices even for visitors, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. If you are visiting Vung Tau, do not miss this authentic local seafood spot. Fully recommended

  I had lunch at Gành Hào and had a great experience. This was actually my second time here after 12 years, and I’m impressed that they’ve maintained the same level of quality over time. The restaurant is located right by the sea, offering a beautiful ocean view even during the daytime. The space is spacious and airy, making it a comfortable spot for a relaxing lunch. The seafood is still incredibly fresh, which is the highlight of this place. It’s great to see that after so many years, they’ve kept their standards consistent. The dishes were well-prepared and full of flavor. The service is decent—nothing too special, but acceptable for a busy restaurant. Prices are a bit on the higher side compared to other local spots, but it makes sense considering the fresh seafood and the great location. Overall, I’m glad I came back after so many years, and I would definitely return again when I visit Vũng Tàu.

The menu offers a wide variety of seafood at mid-range prices—reasonable for the location and overall setting. It’s a good place for groups or anyone looking to enjoy a meal with a sea view. I tried several dishes, including butter garlic shrimp, deep-fried squid with cheese powder, stir-fried mushrooms with oyster sauce, and fried rice with XO sauce and clam meat. Overall, the food was enjoyable, with solid flavors across the board, though not particularly standout. Service was decent—staff were attentive enough, but nothing especially memorable. The main draw here is really the atmosphere: dining by the sea with a relaxed, open-air setting. A good choice for a casual seafood meal rather than a high-end dining experience.

  We enjoyed the ambiance at Gan Hao Seafood Restaurant! Although it was quite crowded during our visit and we weren’t able to get a seaside table since it was reserved, we still got to enjoy an amazing view while eating. The food was absolutely great, with plenty of dishes to choose from, especially if you love seafood. The restaurant is also very spacious and can accommodate a large number of guests, making it perfect for families or groups. In terms of pricing, we personally found it a bit on the expensive side, but the overall dining experience, ambiance, and view still made it worth trying. If you’re planning to visit, we recommend coming around 4–5PM so you can fully enjoy and clearly see the beautiful seaside view before it gets dark.

  Everything g was excellent. Food was amazing and service was very good. The red wine bottle cork was so dry that the waitress had to hammer it out. She tried to strain it through a kitchen noodle strainer. Not a good idea. We were straining cork through our teeth. The bottle should have been immediately changed at this point but the girl seemed afraid to change it. She also wanted to put the red wine into a ice bucket. Maybe a little training might help.
