  Visiting the Christ the King Statue was truly a memorable experience for my husband and me. Getting there was very easy – we could conveniently book a Grab or SM Green electric car, so transportation was smooth and stress-free. Right at the entrance, we were impressed by the polite and gentle attitude of the security guard. He kindly reminded us about the dress code: visitors must wear pants or skirts that cover the knees, umbrellas are not allowed, only hats can be used. The reminder was respectful and made us feel the sacred atmosphere of the place. The steps leading up to the statue are quite comfortable to climb, not too steep or too high. Along the way, there are many stone benches and shaded trees where you can rest if you feel tired. In case someone accidentally falls or feels unwell, the staff at the nearby drink stalls can assist with basic first aid, which is very reassuring. The site closes at 5:00 PM, so visitors should plan to leave around 4:00 PM for safety. This is important because if any incident happens close to closing time, it may be difficult to get support. Another great point is that there is no entrance fee and no need to queue. Just prepare a good pair of walking shoes, bring some water, and make sure your phone or camera has enough battery – the view from the top overlooking the sea and the city is absolutely worth it. Overall, this is a must-visit destination in Vung Tau – meaningful, peaceful, well organized, and beautiful. We will definitely come back again!

  Jesus Christ Statue – Vũng Tàu Climbing up the hill is already an unforgettable experience by itself! The statue of Jesus Christ at the southern tip of Vũng Tàu is not only a spiritual landmark but also a natural wonder. The climb of nearly 900 steps is a challenge, but the reward is breathtaking—panoramic views of the coastline and city that make the effort completely worthwhile. Inside the statue itself, the atmosphere is serene and inspiring. Just a note for visitors: to enter the statue, you’ll need to wear long trousers and sleeves. If you don’t have them, there’s a shop at the top where you can purchase suitable clothing. Overall, this is a must-visit spot in Vũng Tàu—whether for faith, history, or simply the beauty of nature.

  Christ the King (Christ of Vũng Tàu) Review on 22/1/2026 Climbing to the Christ the King statue was one of my most memorable experiences in Vũng Tàu. My walk began at the foothill entrance on Hạ Long Road, where I stepped into a peaceful prayer garden with a Virgin Mary statue beside a symbolic boat. Facing the road but set slightly back, I saw a structure made of two metal heart‑shaped frames filled with small wooden logs. A small Christ statue stood above the hearts, and a simple wooden donation box sat in front. Nearby, a small shop sold rosaries, statues, magnets, drinks, and sun hats for the climb. From there, I began the ascent — about 800–1,000 stone steps up Nho Mountain. The lower section was shaded and gentle, with rest stops and small shrines. As I climbed higher, I passed stone reliefs showing scenes from the life of Jesus, which made the walk feel more like a quiet pilgrimage than just a hike. The final stretch was steeper but rewarded me with sweeping coastal views. At the summit, the 32‑metre‑tall Christ the King statue rose above me, with arms stretching more than 18 metres. The terrace around the statue offered cool sea breezes and panoramic views. There is no full church building at the top, but the shrines, prayer spaces, and sculptures created a calm and reverent atmosphere. I paused there for a moment of reflection before heading back down. A meaningful and memorable landmark — spiritually rich, culturally significant, and beautiful from foothill to summit.

  The location is evocative and the view is beautiful. The statue is 32 meters tall, the tallest statue of Christ in Asia. It's worth climbing the 1.000 steps to see it.   It's one of Vung Tau's iconic sites. Standing 32 meters tall, it's the tallest statue of Christ in all of Asia. You can climb from the inside up to the arms, and the view is spectacular. To reach it, you can climb approximately 1,000 steps, or if you enjoy mountain biking, there's a little-known dirt road.   Probably the most famous landmark in Vung Tau so an absolute must-visit. It's a steep climb up but absokutely worth it for the breathtaking views. Make sure to cover up (shoulders/legs) in order to be allowed entry to the statue itself. Don't miss out on this as you can literally climb up inside the statue to reach its arms for a 360-degrees view.

  Christ the King Statue is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city and the largest statue of its kind in Asia, standing at 32 meters tall. It is located on top of Little Mountain, offering impressive views over Vung Tau. To reach the base, visitors need to climb over 800 steps, but the real highlight is going further up inside the statue via a spiral staircase of 133 steps. At the top, you can step out onto the shoulders of the statue, which provide one of the best panoramic viewpoints in the city — absolutely worth the effort. **Don't forget to wear trousers if you want to climb up inside statue.

  ​If you are visiting Vũng Tàu, the Jesus Christ Statue (Tượng Chúa Kitô Vua) is an experience you shouldn't miss. It’s a bit of a challenge, but the reward is incredible! ​What to Expect: ​The Climb: Be prepared for a workout! There are about 811 stairs to reach the top. It’s a long way up, but there are places to rest along the way. ​Strict Entry Rules: Entry is free, but they are very strict about the rules to enter the statue itself. You must remove your shoes, and you cannot bring water or umbrellas inside. ​Lockers: You’ll need to keep your bags in a locker before you enter the statue. ​The Top: Once inside, the space on the statue's shoulders is very small, so visitors have to take turns to go out. It is very windy at the top, and you go out at your own risk, but the 360-degree view of the city and ocean is absolutely beautiful. ​Bonus Tip: ​Once you’ve finished your descent, don't leave the area! Just walk directly opposite the statue to find Nghinh Phong Cape and the famous Cổng Trời (Heaven’s Gate). It’s the perfect spot for more photos without needing to take a taxi!
