Great value and has all the essentials for a Western traveller (mini fridge, towels, hot water, toilet amenities) even has a small flat screen in all the rooms. Rooms are clean. Reception seem to speak ok English. We stayed at another place which cost the same which was just a bed. So this place is most definately value!

Be warned: the staff here won't give any information for free, seem nice at first and then even for booking a local bus they will charge you for their service. Otherwise rooms are clean and tidy, 20-30min walk to the riverside

Although we are Vietnamese, they dont keep promise with us. They gave us 2 old motorbikes which has different price as we dealed before. The room is large but they facility is bad. And they didnt clean the room although I asked them. So terrible...

The room was clean but felt like a hospital room: tiles, walls and bathroom are white and the lack of decor doesn't make it very homey. You can't open the window so the room feels a bit stuffy if you don't us the fan. ||||The main issue is that the staff doesn't speak English and the use of the Google Translate can be misleading and frustrating.||||The location isn't great as there aren't many things around: no restaurant or food to buy. The city centre is 25 minutes walk.||||Overall, the hotel is well maintained but I wouldn't stay there for more than one or two nights.

I have been there with my wife a few days ago. No English speaking staff, troubling communication and welcoming absolutely far from warm |Far from chau doc center. Simple and basic room with no windows.|Not recommended|

I’ll admit that given the price of this place we were hoping to be pleasantly surprised that it was not a total dump. Well joke was on us!||||This hotel, if you can call it that, is a flophouse. The rooms are fluorescent-lit, AC was spotty, and the management surly. There were also bars on the window which made no sense to me considering that we were inside a hallway! What possible reason could they have for putting them there? ||||The room is covered in white tile, floor walls etc. Rather than a hotel room it would make a better abattoir where you could hose the whole thing off after a good bloodletting. (I now have a hypothesis about the bars on the windows...!!!)||||Had a lousy night’s sleep and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Yuck.

i booked there by a website, i came at 1 pm, they told me my room could not be ready before 5/6 pm, i said ok and i put my stuff in another room. I came back at ^ pm and, surprise, i booked a room with balcony and view, and i have a room at the ground floor with a window with view inside on the place where they park few bicycles and the stairs...i show the booking to the staff which answer me that the guest house is full and i can have only this room because the other guest(Vietnamese) booked long time ago...so why they didn't closed these rooms for the bookings via websites? so i tried to have a discount, no, that's it or you can leave, he told me.Finally, i don't want to change and stayed three nights and at the end, he had a calculator and can not make the rate*3 nights ant give me a total few dollars more....bad contact...

The room was simple and clean (and we had a window). One staff member (unfortunately i don't remember his name) was very nice and drove us to different pagodas (one was very beautiful!) in chau doc. He even walked us around and showed us every room. He also booked a local bus for us to get to ha tien and everything worked out very well. ||The guesthouse is not in the centre of chau doc but you can easily find it with the map you get from the host. The staff (family leading guesthouse) couldn't speak english very well but we managed to communicate and made good memories there. Of course it's no high class guesthouse but the family tries very hard to help you out and make your stay as good as possible.
