We ordered egg coffee with almond and the other is with oreo. Drinks are not too sweet. Love it! Place upstairs near the front sliding door is the coldest in the area since it's near the AC. place is well ventilated, a lot of fans. Chairs are low so might be quitw difficult for tall people, but the height is very advantageous for a 5'1" like me 😅

Tucked away with a cozy, old-world charm, this little café feels like stepping into a slice of local tradition. The space is intimate, with low stools, tiled floors, and walls decorated with vintage photos that give it a nostalgic, lived-in atmosphere. It’s clearly a spot loved by both locals and curious travelers, creating a warm, lively vibe. The highlight for me was the egg coffee—rich, creamy, and surprisingly smooth. The thick, velvety egg foam on top blends beautifully with the strong coffee beneath, creating a dessert-like drink that’s both comforting and unique. It’s a must-try if you’re visiting for the first time. Service felt genuine and unpretentious, adding to the overall charm. It’s not fancy, but that’s exactly the appeal—authentic, relaxed, and full of character. A great place to slow down, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy a truly local coffee experience.

During my visit to Hanoi, one of the most memorable experiences was trying Vietnamese coffee at Cafe Giang. I had heard a lot about Vietnamese coffee before, but tasting it here completely exceeded my expectations. The coffee was rich, bold, and full of flavor—something truly unique compared to any coffee I’ve had before. And especially for Egg coffee I was quite spectacle, but it’s a MUST TRY. Cafe Giang is famous for its legendary egg coffee, and now I understand why. The creamy, velvety egg foam combined perfectly with the strong Vietnamese coffee, creating a drink that felt more like a dessert than a regular cup of coffee. Every sip was smooth, indulgent, and unforgettable. Beyond the coffee itself, the atmosphere was authentic and welcoming, giving me a glimpse into Hanoi’s rich coffee culture. It’s amazing to think that this is the birthplace of egg coffee, and you can feel the history and tradition in every cup they serve. If you’re visiting Hanoi, Cafe Giang is an absolute must-visit. For me, it wasn’t just about having a coffee—it was about experiencing a part of Vietnam’s culture coffee and sunflower seeds Without a doubt, one of the best coffee experiences I’ve ever had.

You absolutely have to try egg coffee when you're in Vietnam! I specifically sought out a popular spot for it. Ambiance: The place is decent, with a few floors – make sure to enter through the small alley. Taste: I was worried the egg coffee might taste fishy, so I ordered it hot. To my surprise, the texture was incredibly smooth and velvety – I couldn't taste the egg at all! It was more like creamy milk foam blended with coffee oils. Give it a stir before drinking – it's a bit sweet and the flavor is really rich. About halfway through, you start to pick up the pleasant bitterness and aroma of the coffee. It's genuinely delicious – though the cup is quite small. Highly recommended!

Hidden in a small alley, Cafe Giảng is truly a legendary spot you shouldn’t miss when in Hanoi. This place is known as the birthplace of egg coffee since 1946, and you can really taste the history in every sip. The egg coffee here is incredibly creamy and rich, with a perfect balance between sweetness and the strong Vietnamese coffee underneath, almost like drinking a warm dessert. The space itself feels very old school and authentic, giving you a glimpse of Hanoi’s past. Definitely a must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a unique local experience! ☕✨

Egg coffee is originally from here. If you don't drink coffee, you can order non-coffee drinks with egg as well. We tried matcha and chocolate with egg and it did not fail to impressed me. The egg is surprisingly smooth, rich, and full-bodied flavor. Really recommended!

Went here on a Monday noon with our “Free Private Hanoi Tour” guides (highly recommend). We got the egg salted coffee, egg cocoa and lemonade. We really enjoyed it and out of the three egg coffees so far that we’ve had here in Hanoi, it was the best one, not so bitter and not so sweet. The place is so cute and quiet and the waitress even offered to take our photos. It’s the first egg coffee in Vietnam and has been established since 1946.

We tried the egg coffee. It’s creamy and you can still taste the strong coffee, especially after stirring it. We also tried another one that was like egg coffee with cocoa or chocolate. This one was a bit too sweet, so we liked the regular egg coffee better. There were a lot of people when we got there, but the service was still fast. The staff were kind, and the place had a bit of a nature vibe since there were plants inside the store. Overall, it was a good experience for us.
