Nestled in the small quaint corner of the old quarter. Amazing vibes and the Barista at the station is just too good. Had matcha over there which was outstanding. Sadly the brew was sold out!!

A very cool café in Hanoi's Old Quarter. The coconut coffee tastes incredibly good; I've never had it so good anywhere else! The staff is always friendly, one lady even let us watch the coconut coffee being prepared and explained to us step by step how it was made. It's simply an experience!

Difficult to find Light roast in Hanoi I’m so glad I found it here! 🤩 There are no tourists in this place. It's so peaceful and clean.

This is the place you should visit if you want coffee. Egg coffee, matcha, cappuccino or just a coldbrew. Here you can find it and enjoy the taste. Everything in Hanoi seems to get 5 stars but compared to others this is the real deal. Not an overly sweet egg coffee or a watery espresso, something you will actually enjoy and come back to (like we did).

So many great coffee shops in Hanoi and Gad8 is one of them! Some serious coffee brewing here and the result is delicious drinks. Love the small, modern designed space, and the friendly helpful service!

The egg coffee is one of the best I ever had. The foam is really creamy and it's not too sweet. The latte art here is also really cool. The baristas are friendly. The croissants are super fresh and warm (not like they have been microwaved). It's a very nice ambient atmosphere. We came to Hanoi for 3 days and came to this cafe 3 times hahaha. I would really really recommend visiting here

The place is easy to find, in the alley, so the atmosphere is not so hustle. Still, there are people walking around for you to enjoy the street life vibe. However, I ordered a cup of tea, the amount of drink here is not that much as I expected. Hence, the price compared to the amount of drink is not very reasonable. The taste is good tho.

I visited Gad8 more than two years ago when I visited Hanoi for the first time. Without engaging in hyperbole, trying the coconut coffee back then was life altering experience. So much so that I would tell tales of how my perception of coffee had changed forever after my experience with coconut coffee at Gad8. I came back to Hanoi two years later, and coming back to gad8 was at the top of my to do list. Stepping back inside was reliving a warmly nostalgic moment, but I was slightly let down by how much the coffee changed in those two years. The first pic in this review was from my most recent visit, and the second was from my first two years ago. I ordered the same coconut coffee. But in between the two years, the portion size dramatically shrunk, and that rich, rich cream on top was replaced with more of a soapy foam - definitely not as richly creamy as the first time. And the coconut flakes were too sweet compared to the crunchy coconut flakes from two years ago. I understand that inflation hits around the world, and that small cafes need to make ends meet by changing their ingredients. And the most recent coconut coffee at Gad8 still tastes great, it’s not too strong or sweet. I highly, highly recommend! But I do miss the thick, delicious cream from my first visit. I’ve been trying, without much success, to find a similar coconut coffee to that heavenly creamy one from two years ago. But looks like I’ll have to keep searching!
