**Could Hanoi's Best Coffee Live Here?** I wandered into refined. on my first morning in Hanoi, and somehow the whole city went quiet. ☕ Tucked near the Temple of Literature, the space feels modern and unhurried — a soft place to land between temple visits and tangled scooter streets. Giang, the barista, walked me through the menu like he was sharing family secrets, and I let him lead. The Nâu arrived first: silky, deep, with a gentle chocolate hum that lingered long after the last sip. Then the pour-over — clean, bright, layered with notes I didn't yet have words for. Every cup felt considered, almost reverent. 🌿 I left with that rare kind of stillness you only find when someone genuinely cares about what they're making. This is why I travel — for tiny moments like this one. ✨ When was the last time a coffee made you slow down completely? — *Alex from Perth* #HanoiCoffee #SpecialtyCoffee #VietnameseCoffee #TempleOfLiterature #CoffeeLover #HanoiCafes #SlowTravel #CafeCulture

Love the relaxing atmosphere here with the low jazz! My boyfriend got a pour over of the bean of the month, and it’s probably in the top 5 best pour overs I’ve ever had 🥹 I got a salt coffee, and it’s rimmed with an incredible tasting fruit salt. Overall, highly recommend a stop here!

The fruity Americano was really great — super smooth, well-balanced, and full of bright fruit notes. Perfect break in the middle of a hot day. The café itself feels so relaxing and cozy, with chill jazz playing softly in the background. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time. The barista was very warm and friendly, which made my first visit to Hanoi extra special. It’s always nice to meet kind locals.

a must-visit for coffee lovers! (for Filipinos, of you are familiar with the Good Cup in Cebu, you'll love it here!) having coffee at this coffee shop is a whole experience! you'll have a deeper appreciation of their coffee culture as the barista talks about how they make each cup of coffee – from sourcing the beans, to roasting, to brewing. The barista even encourages you to smell the coffee beans after grinding and after being poured with water to let you apreciate each stage that coffee beans go through before being turned into a cup of coffee. They also use their own phin filter that is slightly different from regular phin filters. The phin filters they use have a slight slope to produce a more balanced cup. Would also consider myself lucky as the coffee shop wasn't that busy when I visited (unlike on other days) so I got the chance to learn more about Hanoi through my conversation with their barista. Definitely a coffee shop that I'll go back to if I get a chance to visit Hanoi again :) PS. make sure to bring your card as they don't accept cash payment. they also have an 8% tax on top of the price published on their menu

My friend told me it’s the best specialty coffee place in Hanoi. The atmosphere is very cool and they serve high quality coffee. Definitely worth visiting!

Chill and laid back. Atmosphere is very dark, which is the identity of the place. Very gentle and calm staff, which I always appreciate. Card payments preferred, which I also appreciate a lot. A comfy experience between the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and the Temple of Literature.

Saw the good reviews and decided to come by. The staff would ask about your preference and make some recommendations - for me, coffee with normal milk that is Vietnamese style and not too sweet. It's served stylishly, and tastes as good as it looks. I paid 48k VND via card. The space is rather cozy, very good for people watching too. Would recommend if you're into coffee, they have a good selection of drinks and beans. (:

Refiend – A Hidden Gem Recommended by Gia - This café was recommended to me by Gia, and it turned out to be a great discovery. The interior features a dark, moody aesthetic, creating a calm and focused atmosphere. If you care about coffee quality, this is definitely a place worth visiting. The owner will ask whether you prefer coffee-based or non-coffee drinks, and they also offer some creative coffee options. They change their coffee beans every month, which shows their commitment to freshness and variety. Laptops are not allowed here, making it a space purely for conversation and enjoying coffee without distractions. I ordered the seasonal cold brew, and it completely won me over. I ended up buying a bag of the seasonal beans to take home. The barista speaks excellent English and kindly reminded me to mention this in my review: They only accept card payments (Visa/Mastercard or local bank cards), no cash. 😄 Highly recommended for anyone who truly enjoys good coffee.
