I think I should start rating cities I visit based on my workouts at the local gyms. Hanoi is a favorite, and this gym was awesome. Yeah the reviews are true: It's not the cleanest or the newest. Some of the equipment is tired and old. But there is plenty of machines, weights, and room to get a complicated workout in, even during crowded times, like around 10-12, the lunch crowd, and in the evening after 5. For example, I was able to monopolize 3 rowing machines: a straight iso-pull row, and overhead lat pull machine, and an angled overhead pull. All were next to each other and I went from one to the other. 55K for the day, a great price. And although there is no AC and it does get hot, there was a great breeze through all the open windows everyday I was there. Friendly crowd and some serious lifters also. The locker room is co-ed but there are gender showers. The only weird thing for me was I did see someone vapping and one guy stand at a window and smoke a cigarette, but it did not bother me as the open windows and breeze make it non-noticeable. Just seemed weird. But I got in some intense training during the week I was in Hanoi. I will be back.

Located in in a local market area in Old Quarter and hiding on the 2nd floor of a building ( look for the workout photos on the window ) 50.000 VND daily fee ! Cheaper than many more expensive gyms in the area ! Even the Toilet rooms are not clean and heavy smell of urine!, it is an excellent gym that has treadmills and many machines to get you a full body of workout , front staffs are friendly and understand some English !

This gym is huge! I counted 7 squat racks and 6 bench presses along with many other equipments. You’ll definitely find something you like here. Day rate is pretty cheap at 55k vnd/entry. You’ll have to bring your own lock for the lockers but I noticed most of them are occupied by gym members so you’ll just have to carry your stuff everywhere you go. There’s a mart right below the gym so it’s easy to get water and stuff. A few downsides - the gym isn’t well maintained with weights strewn everywhere. They don’t turn on the fans as well and there’s no ac so it can get pretty warm. Still a 5/5 gym for me nonetheless.

A spacious, well-equipped gym with an old-school bodybuilding vibe — a true haven for workout enthusiasts. While there’s no air conditioning, it’s well-ventilated. Some equipment shows signs of wear, likely due to the open-air concept. If you’re particular about cleanliness, it’s best to bring your own towel and alcohol spray. Very affordable too — only 55,000 VND per entry!

big and crowded gym. appreciate the day pass, since most other gyms dont do day passes in this area. only 55vnd/day and it has almost every machine and most of them are working. probably ok if you avoid prime time in the evening and on the weekends. I went on saturday and it was insanely full 😅

Bodybuilder focused gym with all the free weight equipment and most machines to cover most muscle groups. Beware there was no air conditioning when I went so i was sweating the entire time. Also note if you’re concerned about sanitation, bring your own wipes as I didn’t see any spray bottles and paper towels available. Otherwise it’s a very cheap and well equipped gym with a great vibe. You’ll also need to bring your own lock

A day pass is currently about 55,000 VND which is very affordable. But you get what you pay for. Most of the dumbbells are laid out across the floor and are not re-racked and the men’s bathroom smells horrible. I also found some of the machines were not working properly. If you’re a foreigner visiting Hanoi for a short term period like myself I would recommend paying a little more for a better gym experience.
