My worst hostel experience ever. To be considered: I had just arrived to Hanoi after 26h of journey from Italy, without being able to have any sleep at all. When I first arrived to the hostel I got to the reception and told them I had 2 nights booked. After checking the receptionist told me I had only 1 night booked. I told him to check again and he indeed found out I was right. After that he told me the price was 300.000 d. After checking on my Agoda I saw my price was instead 258k d. As I told me heade up an excuse and told me 260k was fine. Not the best start. As soon as I walled into my room the smell of mold was extreme. Just to check it wasn't just me I asked two other guys who confirmed they could smell it too. Anyways I was way too tired so I spent my first night in that room, even tho I was able to get barely 3h of sleep because of a guy snoring like a rhino under my bed.(I had earplugs) On the second day I asked to get changed to another room also because I get pretty sneezy with mold. The second room seemed to be fine until I found out there was a pretty noisy sound of a fan turning on every 2h and lasting for some good 10min each time. At 11p.m a guy suddenly decided to turn on his lamp, which being on the top bunk lights up the whole room. After some good 20 min of him not turning it off and actually falling asleep with the light on I asked him to turn it off, which he did. At 1a.m, while trying to fall asleep a couple upstairs decided to have sex in the noisiest way possible 🙈 not much to say against them, altough pretty loud, hopefully they were in a private room. As I finally thought I could fall asleep, at 3a.m that same night 2 drunk irish girls bursted into the room, slamming the door and speaking in normal volume like they were by themselves in the whole hostel. They then proceeded to create more chaos cause one of them apparently lost her phone. They went and came back in the room several times being loud and disrespectful for anyone trying to get some sleep. One of the staff was there trying to help them and as he saw me furios from the top bed, he apologized. Nontheless they kept going back and forth for at least 40 min. At that point I just concentrated to not say a single word cause I would have been under no control of myself. At around 4.30a.m I finally proceeded to fall asleep for some hours. At 10.30 someone (I believe from staff but not sure) walked into the room, turned on the light and slammed the door. Honestly the worst ever experience I've had in a hostel, by far. Hotel Staff: keep track of people in your hotel and make sure peace and quiet is assured for guests. Parents of Irish girls: use condoms next time Total of hours slept in 2 nights: 6

It was a wonderful stay, with fantastic breakfasts! The bed and bathroom were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was the unsuitable sitting area; it's uncomfortable to use a laptop because there's no proper work surface. I also had trouble safely parking my bike; there's no space anywhere, and the street is very crowded. The hotel staff were accommodating and allowed me to park it inside the building overnight. In the morning, they took it outside and secured it with a lock. I'd love to come back again.

Location was perfect for foreign tourists! I stayed in a twin bedroom. The room was spacious and the air condition worked very well. No complain about the room except flies from the bathroom. The breakfast was good enough and they served different food every morning. No complaint about the breakfast except a long black hair found from stick rice. The reception was friendly and worked efficiently. I am willing to stay this hostel again.

Pretty solid hostel for the price. They take a small $3 deposit. The room was clean, fresh sheets, everything felt decent. Free towel, locker, even a toothbrush included which is a nice touch. Staff are chill and helpful. That said, the shower setup is kinda rough. Lighting is bad, and there’s no proper door, just a thin curtain, so yeah… zero privacy, you hear everything. The curtain hooks also keep catching on your clothes which gets annoying fast. The luggage storage box was dirty too, ended up slightly staining my backpack.Overall though, for the price, with breakfast and a free towel included, it’s a solid spot.Lowkey a drop for those who know - the world’s largest mosaic is nearby.

Hanoi Solo Hostel is Good place to stay. I will recommend this place specially if you are a solo traveler or with a group. their budget bunk beds has its own curtain for privacy, there's also a personal luggage storage under your bed. (make sure to bring you own lock) or you can rent a pod lock to reception area you just had to deposit a 100k dong for it and they will return your money back when you checked out. they also have a personal lamp incase you need a light at night. there's also a laundry shop in front of the hostel.

We arrived late at night due to an airline flight delay. The hostel is located in the Old Quarter, has an elevator, and the receptionist is welcoming. We stayed in a dorm-style room with three bunk beds. The room is cold, but it has a separate shower room, toilet, and sink. There’s a variety of breakfast options to choose from too. Highly recommended!!! We forgot to take pictures as we are really busy roaming around 😅

I had an amazing stay at Hanoi Solo Hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with recommendations, bookings, and even little details that made me feel at home. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the common areas had a relaxed, social vibe—perfect for meeting other travelers. The location is excellent, right in the Old Quarter, so everything is within walking distance but still quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep. I truly felt safe and well taken care of here. Highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Hanoi, especially solo travelers!
