This is a homestay and not a hotel so don’t look for hotel services here. The room is good enough for my liking. Lisa and the rest of her team were really kind and accommodating. It has 1 vanity mirror, 2 chairs, 1 cabinet and a lot of socket. They let me extend outside my check out time for a minimum fee. They also offer tours I think.

A great hostel for backpacker travellers, it has all the amenities and comfort you need for a great price. Lisa and the other members of the team were kind and extraordinarily helpful with all needed with the most amazing recommendations. It was a great way to start exploring Vietnam!

This homestay is wonderful, but what makes it truly special is the hospitality. I had an issue during my trip and needed to make a police report; the hosts immediately stepped in to help me handle everything, translating and supporting me through it all. The room was great, but the genuine care and kindness of the hosts are what I will remember most. Safe, trustworthy, and highly recommended!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the location is great. The alley is quiet, yet still very convenient for transportation and nearby food options. The house itself is quite old, with lots of wooden furniture, which gives it a certain charm. However, there were quite a few ants around. Also… we unexpectedly met “Ratatouille” on the street 😅, so just something to keep in mind.Overall, it’s average, but a good option if you’re traveling on a budget. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a great stay. we arrived late and were able to check in without issue. the location is great, not far from the old quarter. However, it takes some treck to get to the homestay, especially with 2 big backpacks on our backs!

The homestay hosts were very accomadating and friendly. I contacted them prior to the check-in day to recieve self check-in details. Thanks to that, I got to the homestay easily with no issue. The room was fairly clean with no bugs. It had rackets for shoes and clothes as well as a hair dryer. The only small issue I have is the lack of water bottles but I didn't mind that much. There're mainly two people at the front desk who could speak English which were very helpful and gave me instructions and directions. Once I had a ventilation problem in the bathroom and had it fixed up quickly in the next morning. The laundry service was 30k/kg and was done within the next morning. The clothes were clean and smelled really nice. On the day I checked out, the lady told me I could leave my luggage there before my appointed flight. They were super nice and kind. I'd recommend anyone staying here if you're looking to stay in hanoi for a while! Its within the hanoi old quarter and there're lots of restaurants, cafes, and banks around. The train street is approximately 5 minutes by motorbike and 18 minutes by foot.

I booked the room with own bath and balcony. It was a great experience. Felt more local than a foreigner because of the architecture of the place. Didn’t have a good first impression but I actually did appreciate the location eventually. It’s near everything. If you don’t mind walking, it’s 25 minutes away from Old Quarter. Or you can book grab and that takes 6 mins to the Old Quarter. Their staff Jade is really helpful throughout my stay. She was very nice and truly great. Not recommended for elders tho. They do not have elevators. For it’s price, it’s ideal especially if you will be spending more time outside your room.

We've stayed at Hanowood homestay twice now - the first time in Dec/Jan when we booked one of the rooms with a shared bathroom, and the second time this month, when we came back to Hanoi with my parents, this time booking two rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Both times were excellent. Though old (which is why you're in the French Quarter in the first place - for the old buildings!) the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, and at an unbeatable price for Hanoi.|Hanowood homestay is located off the main road, in an area which is quiet and safe, but also has the advantage of being close to many excellent cafes and restaurants, and in walking distance to major Hanoi attractions.|The service is what really brought us back to Hanowood though. Jack, Tony and Stella are fantastic hosts, so friendly and responsive. They really put the "home" in homestay, greeting us with cups of tea, recommending places to visit, providing us with a list of suggested restaurants (all of which have their own interesting histories and specialities), and they do a superb job of providing services to tourists. You really couldn't ask for a better place to start your Hanoi journey.|After booking with Hanowood, you can organise an airport pickup, buy a SIM card from your hosts, and arrange all tours through them, as they are a travel agency too. It really is a one-stop shop, allowing you a hassle-free arrival, which is especially helpful if this is your first time to Vietnam. While we are usually skeptical of places that offer so many services, we found that we couldn't get a better deal elsewhere - the team at Hanowood regularly negotiated better prices for every tour than we found anywhere else, and got us deals far below the prices you'd pay booking direct. We were so impressed when we booked a day trip for two to Ha Long Bay at the beginning of the year that we booked a longer cruise and another tour through them for all four of us during our second stay. We were especially happy to hear Stella's recommendations about the Ninh Binh area since her family comes from the region.|The rooms have work surfaces and the wifi is reliable enough to use for work or study.|Hanowood is also home to unexpected extras - a free laundry service if you book tours with them, and on two occasions, we were treated to delicious Banh Mi breakfasts during our two-week stay. The staff are always happy to see you and organise everything so quickly, responding to messages night and day.|We will always stay at Hanowood homestay if we come back to Hanoi in future, and we couldn't think of a better place for newcomers to Vietnam to start their journey. Cảm ơn Stella, Tony and Jack!
