A great hostel right in the heart of the city — all the main sights are within walking distance. Despite the central location, it’s surprisingly quiet, which makes it perfect for actually resting. The beds are large and comfortable, each with its own shelf, and the rooms are spacious. Drinking water is always available, which is a big plus. There’s also a terrace where you can cook your own food and hang out. The host is very friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere. I’ll definitely stay here again — this is going to be my go-to place in Hanoi.

This place has a nice location that is close to everything. Dorm rooms are big and the beds have a lot of space for bags too. Bathrooms are always clean and stocked and the showers have hot water. Definitely will come back if I'm in Hanoi.

We visited the hostel on 11/05/2026. Not much to say about the place, but it is in a good location, exceptionally well priced, and offers standard hostel dorm rooms with privacy curtains, alongside showers and toilets just outside the rooms. The main issue with the hostel is that, if you are unlucky enough to be placed in a top-floor dorm room, you will have to climb around three flights of steep stairs. In my group’s case, we had a lot of luggage, which made this a rather strenuous task.

I stayed here for four nights. The beds are very comfortable, large, and clean. The bathrooms are okay, but most of the time there was no toilet paper, and the cabins are quite small. On the positive side, there is hot water and good water pressure. The location is also great—just about two minutes from the lake. I took a night bus to Hanoi and made sure to double-check with the staff that a late check-in would be possible. They confirmed it wouldn’t be a problem. However, when I arrived, the reception was locked. A woman was there but pretended to be asleep and didn’t open the door. I was knocking and making noise together with three other guests, but no one responded at first—even though I had kept them updated about my arrival time. After about 20 minutes, a young man finally came out and checked me in. So if you’re planning a late check-in, make sure to confirm it clearly with them in advance.

There is nothing wrong with the room or the location (the mattresses are rock hard though). I just had a bad experience because I told them twice through my booking site I was arriving in the night whit the nightbus. When I arrived the reception was closed, I called the whatsapp number and a helpful girl answered, showed me how to get to the room, choose a vacant bed, send a photo of my passport and that I could pay in the morning when checking out. Two hours later in the middle of the night someone opens my curtains, wakes me up and asks my name and says I need to pay immediately. Tired and surprised I tried telling him I was told I could pay in the morning and showed him the whatsapp chat where she specifically had written I could. Angry and quite rude he forces me to get up and pay him immediately. I get back to sleep and two hour later someone opens my curtains, wakes me up and asks if I’m checking out today or tomorrow. This is between 3-5 am. I just found it very weird and annoying to get woken up because of these two occasions in the middle of the night / early morning. And to be woken up and get yelled at as well. Before I could check out they asked me to leave a 5 star review. This experience will not get a 5 star review but instead my honest one.

Do not shower on the one to your left facing the bathrooms, because of the camera. Basically 1 shower with space. Bathrooms are super cramped. Upon arrival they tried to scam me 20k extra for service fee when I already had the total price in vnd in Booking, they showed their system too and I did not bite on to that, so I recommend you don’t either. After some discussion with owner on the phone, she gave up and told the staff it was ok. Place is not clean, room smells and since it’s old the beds and doors will make sounds when moving. Male staff is in and out of female dorm all the time. Also asking and waking everyone up to ask if we are going to check out or extend, this is so disrespectful. Location is good, it’s quiet and local.

This place feels like daylight robbery. I paid for a 30-day stay but had to leave early, leaving me with 20 unused days. I then requested a refund for the remaining days. For over a week, I’ve been completely ignored by the owner despite repeated follow-ups and the receptionists confirming multiple times that he had been informed about my situation. No replies to calls. No replies to messages. No professionalism. No accountability. I even suggested alternative solutions, including transferring the remaining days to another guest so they would not lose money. Despite this, the owner still chose not to communicate at all. At this point, it genuinely feels like once they receive your payment, they no longer care about treating guests fairly or resolving issues responsibly. I would strongly advise future travelers to think twice before staying here. The lack of communication, respect, and basic customer service has made this one of the worst hostel experiences I have ever had.

Stayed here for couple of hours while waiting for my sleepers bus to Sapa. Good location, staff is friendly. Clean room. Just manage your expectation in terms of lobby area.
