  Long overdue review , we stay comfortably in this hotel after our trekking trip from the Sapa mountains and long rides. Reach the hotel at 5am in the morning but the receptionist kindly unlocked the doors and let us settle down in the lobby. Throughout the stay , the reception will always greet us and recommend us where to eat and hang out and it was a joy speaking to them as a exchange of culture. Rooms were always clean and the location of the hotel is near by the lake and other cultural streets. Definitely will stay again for our next hike trip up Sapa when we return to Hanoi

  We stayed at Ja Cosmo Hotel and Spa and can honestly say it was a truly wonderful experience. As an Italian, I sincerely believe that many people should learn from the kindness, organization, and attention this staff gives to their guests. The entire team was extremely helpful and welcoming throughout our stay, from cleaning the rooms to breakfast, to providing luggage storage when needed. A special thanks goes to Sean, who took exceptional care of us. He organized our travel and stays in remote locations, helping us experience Vietnam exactly as we wanted. Every evening, he sent us the complete program for the next day with all the details, always making us feel relaxed and organized. We also greatly appreciated the fact that he tried to accommodate us with prices, truly going out of his way to help us. Without him, it would have been much more difficult to have such a beautiful and peaceful experience in Vietnam. We will take home a truly special memory of this hotel and, above all, of the wonderful humanity of the people who work there. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone who reads this review and also to all our friends in Italy, because it really deserves to be known, just like Vietnam.

  I had a wonderful stay at Ja Cosmo Hotel Hanoi and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—every member of staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Vy, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She was incredibly helpful, always friendly, and made a real difference to our experience. It’s clear that the entire team works very hard, and their dedication truly shows in every detail. The level of care and hospitality we received was outstanding. They all deserve great success, and I would happily stay here again in the future.

  We had an absolutely fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. From the moment we arrived, the staff were professional, warm, and genuinely helpful. What really stood out was the effort they went to in organising a birthday surprise for us — complete with decorations and a cake. It was thoughtful, seamless, and made the occasion feel special without us having to lift a finger. The team also arranged a day tour for us at a better price than anything we found online, which was a great bonus and saved us both time and money. Our room was comfortable, spotless, and clearly well cared for. The small touches made a big difference — especially the daily afternoon chocolate delivery, which was such a nice surprise to come back to each day. The hotel is also in a great location, making it easy to get around and enjoy everything nearby, and overall represents excellent value for money. All up, this is one of those places where the service genuinely elevates the entire experience. We’d stay here again without hesitation.

  While this hotel was clean and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, our overall experience was somewhat disappointing. The hotel feels quite cramped, and the rooms are much smaller than expected. We booked through a travel agent and also viewed the hotel's website before arrival. Unfortunately, the rooms shown online did not accurately reflect the rooms we were given, which created expectations that were not met. Although the room was clean, the bathroom felt dated and featured a shower-over-bath combination with a shower curtain, which may not appeal to all travellers. The breakfast buffet was adequate but offered a fairly limited selection, with little variety compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel itself has an older style and could benefit from some modernization. We stayed on the 9th floor, which appeared to double as a storage area for extra linen, beds, and housekeeping supplies. As a result, stepping out of the lift often felt as though we had arrived on a service or housekeeping floor rather than a guest floor, which detracted from the overall atmosphere. While the hotel markets itself as a 4-star property, based on our experience it does not meet the standards one would typically expect from a 4-star hotel. The room size, dated facilities, limited breakfast selection, and overall presentation felt more in line with a lower rating. On a positive note, the staff were always welcoming, professional, and eager to assist, which certainly helped improve our stay. The hotel's location is excellent and is undoubtedly one of its strongest features, providing convenient access to many of the area's attractions and amenities. Overall, this hotel may suit travellers looking for a clean and well-located place to stay, but those seeking spacious rooms and a true 4-star experience may wish to consider other options.⭐⭐⭐☆☆ 3/5 stars – Great location and friendly staff, but not what we would consider a genuine 4-star hotel experience.

  When we walked in the lobby, it is very small compared to the picture in booking.com. When checking in, the lady in the reception said we have to pay for the whole stay. This is the first time in many years of travel in different countries being asked to pay upfront - and preferebly cash! They accept credit card but they charge 8% on top! We booked Junior Suite with balcony. The pictures in the website is deceiving because the room was old and very dated, cannot be called a suite at all. The balcony was sealed old glass window with molds on them, did not even use it because it was very hot. Arrived in 35 degrees heat and the air conditiong is not enough or cannot cope with the heat being on the top floor. Bathroom also needs updating. They put us in the 11th floor but the lift only goes to the 10th floor. If you have big luggages like us, just ask the reception to help you because that is 2 flight of stairs. Breakfast was mid, space was small. It starts at 0630 so we're always there at 0630 to make sure we have seats. The downside was they are not ready at 0630! Coffee was still cold and food was still cold because they are just getting ready at 0630. When you say breakfasr starts at a certain time, they should be ready to serve. I ordered egg omelet and waited for 15 mns. When i asked for my order, they obviously did not cooked it and the lady who i ordered the egg said she thought we already left! Not enjoyable at all! If you're looking for a 4 star hotel, this is not for you because you will be dissappointed. This is only 2 stars. Mostly suitable for backpackers. I think it was rated 4 stars by the guests because of the staffs.

  Our group of more than 20 people had a fantastic stay at JA Cosmo Hotel Hanoi. It’s truly a great place to stay in Hanoi.||||Despite being a large group, everything was arranged very smoothly. We were given different room categories with beautiful city views, yet the rooms were surprisingly quiet and comfortable – perfect for resting after a long day exploring the city.||||The location is excellent, right in the center, making it very convenient to get around Hanoi’s Old Quarter and main attractions.||||A special thank you to Sean and Lyn for their kind support and attentive service. They really helped make our trip smooth and successful.||||Our whole family had a wonderful time, and we truly appreciate the warm hospitality. Highly recommended for both families and group travelers!

  We stayed at this hotel for four days and three nights, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always proactive in asking if we needed any assistance. The hotel’s location is excellent, with many of the city’s main attractions within easy reach. In addition, the rates are very reasonable, offering great value for the quality of service and accommodations provided. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
