  My stay at Shining Home made most of my time in Hanoi the best. Locals and foreigners often share noodles, time, drinks and snacks in the common places at home and, also in the stalls and the lake located within a walking distance. The residents are kind to answer your questions so there are many chances to get acquainted with Vietnamese culture first-hand in English! I highly encourage everyone to give a try to this home stay even if it's not right downtown. The guests really made friendlier my stay at the heart of Vietnam and, an opportunity was offered to talk about my motherland too, so the cultural exchange is true!

  Very very cool place, so comfortable to stay. I like to talk with local people, share some knowledge and teach some new english words) And also improve my skill too. Students so friendly, we are spending time together, cook some food, watching movies and playing. Come here and you will like this homestay. See you in “Shining home”

  Living at Shining home is one of the best experiences I ever had as a teacher. The Lovely atmosphere and the friendly and helpful owners and staff made my stay here even better as a foreigner. Shining home is a combination of education and entertainment. We learn from each other and have fun together. I am really glad to be a part of this experience.

  I had initially planned to stay at this homestay for only a month, but to my surprise, I ended up extending my stay for over six months. The experience was enjoyable, and it's all thanks to the wonderful owners, managers, and roommates who made it feel like a big, friendly family. One of the challenges we initially faced was maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area. Some individuals weren't diligent about cleaning up after themselves. However, the managers took swift action to address the issue and improve the living situation for everyone. They implemented rules and guidelines to ensure that shared spaces were kept tidy. I was impressed by their proactive approach and dedication to creating a comfortable living environment for all residents. While there were occasional hiccups along the way, the owners and managers consistently demonstrated their commitment to making our lives as residents as comfortable as possible. Their willingness to listen and respond to our needs fostered a sense of trust and mutual understanding. Throughout my extended stay at this homestay, we were fortunate to have regular social events that brought us together in the living room. These gatherings provided a fantastic opportunity to bond, share experiences, and embrace cultural diversity. These social events played an important role in fostering a sense of community and breaking down cultural barriers. We had the opportunity to learn from each other, sharing stories, traditions, and experiences from our respective backgrounds. It was a wonderful exchange of cultures, broadening our horizons and deepening our understanding of the world. In conclusion, I highly recommend this homestay to anyone seeking a welcoming and caring living environment. #WelcomingCommunity #CulturalExchange

  I stayed at Shining Home for a month and definitely recommend everyone to experience living & sharing in this colorful and multi-cultural place. I had opportunity to teach some English classes focusing on improving speaking skills of the students and also learnt many things by sharing our knowledge, experiences, cultures etc. Especially kitchen is great place to get to know more about Vietnamese culture & food since many students cooking here :) There is also opportunity to learn/taste different kinds of food made by travelers or teachers :) We also did engaging activities such as Full Moon Festival, one of our teachers (Yessica) made a presentation about Colombia, welcoming or goodbye parties etc. There is too much to do, don't worry 😄 You will not have time to get bored at Shining Home, you can of course still take rest in your bed or hang out wherever you want, you will have plenty of free time to enjoy Vietnam 😎 Thank you so much Ms. Hang and Mr. Duc and Mr. Dat & Mr. Duc for your support and thank you all dear teachers, travelers and students for everything we shared 🥳 🏠 ☀️

  Founded by 2 young and enthusiastic individuals, Mr. Duc & Ms. Hang, who would like to help the local community getting more opportunities by teaching them English language. They invite experienced teachers to conduct the classes and also host English speaking travellers to hangout and practice English language with the students. You don't want to miss out this fun and exciting opportunity to learn English language.

  If you are looking for a very unique and authentic experience shining home is the right place .you will connect with many people and also local people you will get the Chance to know more about the Vietnamese culture for the real local people I highly recommend shining home if you are looking for different and one of the best experiences ever.
