A wonderful restaurant I discovered by chance. The entrance is a bit hidden. You enter through the marked "spa", please see it in photos. You're greeted by lovely, polite people. They offered delicious treats with my order and gave me a discount coupon for the spa. If you're looking for a calm, quiet, and elegant place, this is it.

Had a really enjoyable dinner here. The whole experience honestly felt like fine dining without the intimidating price tag. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, flavours were balanced, and the presentation was beautiful without feeling overly fancy. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy the meal. Service was warm and attentive too. Definitely one of those places that feels a little more special than your usual dinner spot, but still comfortable and approachable.

We had an awesome experience at L’essence. From the entrance, we were welcomed by live classical (and quiet) music. Then the service was top notch, from the beginning to the end with no false notes. And then the food of course. It was delicious, very well presented and all the meals were very appealing. We will definitely go back. (As we can compare, L’essence is far above a Michelin star restaurant we experienced in Hanoi).

Great food and friendly English speaking staffs. Came here accidentally and it was the best we made this evening. Ordered their set menu, the food is good enough for couple. Great quality food. The spring roll is not part of the set menu. But really good.

Absolutely delicious food and such a friendly staff! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere felt so warm and authentically Vietnamese. We were celebrating a special occasion and even received a complimentary cake and fruit platter - such a lovely touch. Highly recommend!

Beautiful upscale restaurant! I had the stir-fried vegetables and added chicken to it, with a request they only use a little bit of oil to stir-fry...and they accommodated me perfectly! My dinner mate had beef pho and he said it was delicious. They brought black sesame seed crackers that were scrumptious! After dinner, they brought us a fruit plate 'on the house'. We loved the ambiance in this restaurant, the service was excellent, and the food was perfect!!! Highly recommend this upper scale restaurant when in Hanoi!!!

I had dinner here after seeing many 5-star reviews online. The entrance is a bit unique — you walk through the spa on the ground floor and then take the elevator up to the restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortable and the presentation of the dishes is very nice. For the food, we originally planned to order the shrimp rolls, but they were sold out, so we tried the spring rolls instead. They were crispy and tasted good. The Bún Chả was also well prepared, especially the pork balls and fried pork which were very flavorful. The beef cooked with coconut served with rice had slightly sticky beef texture, so the overall taste was just average for this dish. There was also a small issue with the tofu dish due to contamination, but the staff handled it professionally and replaced it with a new one immediately. After the meal, they even provided a spa voucher as an apology, which showed good service recovery and attention to customers. Overall, it was a good dining experience with friendly service and some well-prepared Vietnamese dishes.
