If you’re wandering through Hanoi and your stomach starts making decisions for you, do yourself a favour and land at Met Vietnamese Restaurant & Vegetarian Options. First things first — the food. Absolutely delicious. The kind of “let’s order one more dish… actually two” situation. And the vegetarian options? Not just a token gesture — genuinely flavour-packed, thoughtful, and worthy of the spotlight. Now, the real MVP: Jul. Effortlessly amazing. The kind of service that’s attentive without hovering, and somehow both calm and entertaining at the same time. A quiet charm with perfectly timed moments that make you smile mid-bite. The whole team carries this beautifully relaxed energy — super gentle, super kind — like they’ve mastered the art of letting you fully enjoy your meal without ever feeling rushed. Came for dinner, stayed for the vibes, left already planning my return when next in Hà Nội

Great local food. Wide selection too. We didn’t have to wait for a table. Annie, our waitress, was very friendly and helpful in showing us the proper way to eat the Banh Xeo and Nem Lui (wrap it!). We ordered the black sticky rice as dessert, which reminded me of red bean with coconut pudding. Yummy!

Met! A late night feast was what was needed after a long flight. The dishes here at Met were absolutely delicious, and our experience was made all the better from the lovely and professional waitress Trang! She perfectly demonstrated at the table the method of building the vege pancake rolls (definitely order), and was on point with menu recommendations. In Hanoi old qtr? Get down to Met for a great time 👌 5 Stars 🌟

The restaurant is close to the cathedral, easy to find. Our waiter is Teddy who is super nice! He shows us how to eat authentic Vietnamese food properly. The store is clean and with AC! Food is delicious and not pricey at all. Definitely recommend!

You have to put your name and number of person on the list at the front door and you enter when they call your name. Very tasty food and quick serve. Best taste of all Hanoi. Clean place and attentive staff. The dessert was delicious, caramen and passion fruit mousse were so good. The sauteed beef with fresh mushrooms was a little bit spicy, but I enjoyed every bite. The squid braised in coconut water comes with steam rice.

Met Vietnamese Restaurant is a great spot to go in Hanoi for authentic local food. Our server, Annie, was excellent with her service - super nice, efficient and friendly. She even took the time to demonstrate how to eat some of the local dishes properly, which was incredibly helpful. Food itself was amazing! We loved the food so much we kept coming back during our trip. Each food we tried was delicious. And all reasonably priced. Can’t miss it if you’re in Hanoi!

Service is very good. Clark has served us. Handsome man 😉😉 One thing I mostly appreciated was he asked us if we have allergies 😊 and I do. Food was lovely! I wanted something vegetarian and they've got it. Loved the tofu and mushroom in a claypot.my friend ordered the grilled chicken which was lovely too 😍🫶 I am a tea lover, their ginger and lemomgrass tea is very good 🙏

We were set on this because of the hypes but they were hits and misses. And, this is a tourist trap. Everything is pretty high compared with ither competitors, between at least 50-75% higher. Here are the scoops: 1. Drinks: for examples, coconut: đ75k vs đ40k or less; coca cola: đ35k vs đ20k. So almost 75% more. 2. Ha Noi traditional with grilled pork: 1/5 - this is sacred so you just can call the traditional but you just cook and serve differently. My dish was not what I expected and craved for. The pork slices and pork patty were not grilled, and served on a bed of bean sprouts in a skillet... the grill is the secret for the flavors besides the marinade ... so disappointed. 3. Sweet and sour chicken OR beef: 1/5 - super sweet. Definitely not northern tastes. So westernized Chinese style. 4. Salads: 3/5 - sweeter than I would expect but no biggies. 5. Egg rolls: 3/5 - good but somewhere else is better. 6. Fried rice: 3/5 - good. Small portion for the price. 7. Beef rolled with betel leaves: 5/5 - delicious, great flavors and juicy texture. 8. Fried minced pork in lemongrass: 5/5 -delicious, great flavors and juicy texture. 9. Beef fried chopped steak (wrong translation...): 2/5 - was ok.... 10. Tilapia in passionfruit sauce 2.5/5 - was ok. I dont think it is a traditional way to cook any kind of fish in Northern culinary... 11. Braised pork belly with eggs: 2/5 - it was soupy, lacked of flavors, the pork was very chewy... another disappointing dish that you just can't mess up with the comfort dish. 12. Grilled in bamboo tube: 3/5 - just good cuz it dont see any special about the taste other than cooked in a bamboo tube... Service: The kids work pretty hard and nice. This place again is totally a tourist trap. You pay alot more for not so authentic Ha Noi cruisines ...
