  A lovely restaurant in Hanoi. Food and service were excellent. Lucy went out of her way to ensure we had a nice experience. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options - we had the vegetarian ribs (tofu) & pineapple, and a vegetable curry. Both were delicious. I also highly recommend have a Lychee Martini at the Cloud Sky Bar beforehand.

  We had an amazing meal here! We ordered two beef phở, and they were absolutely delicious—the best phở we’ve had in Vietnam so far. The service was outstanding, especially from one of the waitresses. She was incredibly kind, friendly, professional, and very attentive. She made us feel so welcome and ensured everything was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic, delicious phở and exceptional service. We will definitely come back!

  Absolutely outstanding food. Perhaps the best we’ve eaten in Vietnam. Everything was so fresh and delicious we’re definitely coming back during our trip. Thankyou to Hieu for taking care of us and showing us how to wrap our Vietnamese pancakes. Really lovely service and a relaxed vibe. Perfect for couples and groups.

  We visited VIET Restaurant Hanoi on 1 May at around 6 pm without a reservation. We were seated promptly as the restaurant was still relatively quiet at that time. The waiter informed us about additional charges due to the public holiday and also mentioned that payment would be cash only as their card payment system was not working. Fortunately, we had enough cash with us, so this was not an issue. We ordered the deep fried pillow cake, bun cha, grilled beef in fresh bamboo, banana flambé, and a glass of wine. The food was served within 15 minutes and everything was well presented and flavourful. The quality was excellent for the price, and the dishes were particularly enjoyable. The total cost of the meal was 1,416,000 VND. The service was also very attentive, with Lucy taking good care of our table throughout the meal. Overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience, and we would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try well prepared Vietnamese cuisine in Hanoi.

  We had a great experience here. The waiter was very polite and attentive. We had amazing food (we ordered fried lotus, summer rolls as starter and the beef in a coconut and the beef in a bamboo as main dishes for us) and a great view. It was a perfect experience for us.

  Lan is very nice and made our dining experience very fun and memorable! High commendation for her and the kitchen team. All the food are really good and worth it. We would surely love to go back and eat here. Thank you so much and keep it up! This is surely a manager's choice!

  From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, but it was the exceptional service that truly set this experience apart. We were especially impressed by how efficiently they handled our visit—they clearly made our order a priority, and the timing was flawless. Despite the restaurant being steady, our drinks and courses arrived with impressive speed without ever feeling rushed. It is rare to find a team that balances professional efficiency with such a warm, person-centered approach. If you’re looking for great food paired with a staff that goes above and beyond to take care of you, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

  I won't go back when I asked for my steak to be well done then told by waiter if I do I won't be able to chew it and will be tough tells me the meat is cheap. I had medium but it was soaked in gravy as an attempt by chef to give it flavour or make it easier to swallow but struggle as I did to cut tiny portions it was the toughest chewiest steak in Hanoi and driest chips. Nice venue , staff insisting I pay cash three times when an efpos machine is in front of my face then charged 5% on top of the 900k I spent on pumping soup , and Viet style steak and chips. I told the waiter I won't come back. It didn't cost me this much at a Michelin steak house.
