Our family had a week stay. The room was spacious with seperate kitchen, good size bathroom, lounge and bed area which had a Great Lake view on the balcony. Absolute everything was provided like your own home! Wash and dry machine, kitchen supplies and bathroom amenities etc. The room service was great ,you come back with fresh supplies and clean room daily. The staffs were awesome from reception to door/securities. Front drive way is huge. I don’t remember getting wet to get in a cab at anytime. Bit disappointed that our trip is too short that we forgot to try the outdoor pool. Cant wait to book again! So long

I stayed at West Lake 254D Hotel and checked in around 1 AM. Even at that hour, the staff were friendly and offered me a better rate than what I had on Agoda, which was a nice surprise. The room turned out to be more spacious than I expected. The kitchen area is fully set up, so it’s convenient if you need to make simple meals during your stay. The living room, bedroom, and bathroom are all separated in a way that makes the place feel comfortable rather than cramped. The view of West Lake was the part I enjoyed the most. Waking up and looking out over the water made the stay feel much more relaxing. The bed was also surprisingly good. I prefer a firmer mattress, and this one suited me perfectly—very comfortable after a long day. Overall, the hotel isn’t brand new, but it’s clean, well maintained, and the service was genuinely helpful. Considering the price and the location, I was very satisfied and would stay here again.

The good news - the 2bedroom apartment was excellent value - clean, spacious and well laid out. We did have to get a technician in to sort out a noisy aircon (old unit) - but this was done promptly without fuss. A huge bottle of drinking water (same size of those for water coolers) is provided - and we definately appreciated this. The apartment is also very quiet and well soundproofed. We were very happy with the apartment - excellent value accomodation wise.||Customer service was OK. We interacted with three different staff and the a staff at the buffet breakfast. The three counter staff could speak good English - we had difficulty with the lady at the buffet breakfast who spoke little English. Overall service level was OK but not the best. I found that the service from the doorman the excellent - a smile and a greeting when opening the doors. Although the staff were polite, we never felt the warmth that we experienced from other Vietnamese hotels (we have stayed at a range of 4* and 5* accomodation). For example, when trying to figure out where to eat dinner, talking to the counter staff was like talking to a polite chatbot - you had to ask exactly the right question to get a helpful response.||Do note that the gynm is very small - it was smaller than our apartmeent. With the 3 of us in the gym, we found it rather squeezy. It is airconditioned though and towels and water are provided. We did not use the pool. ||The UGLY: The hotel provides the option of a buffet breakfast at VND346500/pax (about USD 14.50 ) - which we opted for. This is served in the inhouse Japanese restaurant. You have to choose a Japanese main course from two options - and you have access to a (tiny) breakfast buffet. However, I would not recommend the breakfast - its very poor value for money and the food provided is not of a good quality standard. Not the best tastewise either. When we were told one of our main courses was not avaialble (we were there at 8am at an empty restaurant) - my wife remarked that the option of Japanese main course appeared to depend on what was leftover unsold from the previous night at the restaurant. The provided coffee was so awful that I found that the 3-in-1 premix tasted better. See the attached picture for the (tiny) range of buffet options on offer. Again , strongly recommend you avoid the breakfast buffet. ||The overall exterior doesn't appear to have been maintained for years. Of course this could be due to air pollution. This didn't impact our stay materially though - although it could be an eyesore for others. ||The hotel is well situated and West Lake is easily accessible through the hotel back gate. Its also 15min away to Lotte Metropolis via Grab cab.||In summary, we enjoyed the apartment stay - but dreaded the morning breakfast. Overall - still recommended for excellent value and location though.|||

Stay here for three nights. Very large rooms and breakfast was quite good. Buffet breakfast with a mixed of both Vietnamese and western food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is away from the noise of the old quarter but it’s walkable in about 30 minutes. The westlake is right behind the hotel and it’s lined with cafes and coffee shops to sit and enjoy the view of the lake during the day time.

In general it was ok .We had some annoying students taking photos all around us the two days we where at the pool, we would have love the staff to be more present to stop them taking photos all day long even sitting on our chair, I understand it was for their prom but it is have a limit. and the guess should be able to have some peace.

I’ve started my Vietnam experience in Hanoi and was very fortunate to stay at this wonderful, friendly hotel. Overlooking West Lake the complex has a unique blend of room styles all of which are apportioned with all your needs. The food in the restaurant at breakfast was the perfect start to the day. Location is great for some hidden eateries and 15 min Grab to all the action in Hanoi. I’ve stayed a lots of lovely hotels around the world but here’s where it gets different. The Staff were the most helpful and friendly group I’ve come across. Freddy was on hand for all of our needs. The smiles, food recommendations and translation services made my stay that much more enjoyable. Thank you so much for creating a life long memory. Hope to see you again one day.. Cam on ban.|Mal
