Duyanh at the Japanese Visa application office is such a great employee! He guided me patiently and pointed out all of the necessary documents I was missing the first time and explained the whole process step by step. He was also extremely courteous and accommodating and my communication with him both in person and via email was efficient and timely. Got my Visa granted within the specified week too. Thank you, sir! I wish I could give you 10 stars too. Will be recommending your centre and you specifically for sure. Have a great week!

Really good service, only took 4 weeks for a passport renewal. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. I arrived early for two appointments but they say me straight away.

I am a British citizen who just applied for a passport renewal. 5 stars is for the office itself. 3 starts for the website. The website/appointment-booking process is lacking somewhat; website wouldn't load at first, and there was some ambiguity as to what constitutes what in terms of documentation. So, if you live here you need/ought to bring: -Full colour photocopy of complete passport -2 passport photos -Copy of your housing contract -TRC ( I assume work permit/visa would work if that's what you have). -The passport application form from the link on the website -The card payment form from the website These were the documents they used for me at least. I arrived 20 mins early and the girl at the desk started processing and advising straight away. I filled out the things I hadn't yet completed, they directed me to photocopy my trc + housing contract in colour across the street (10k), and when I returned they'd already finished processing everything so I just had to sign. If I'd filled out my forms beforehand the whole process could have been done in 10/15 mins. Staff were friendly and everything went smoothly - so as long as you bring your documents it's a surprisingly easy process.

My wife went there to get her biometrics done this morning. She was served by a staff member in Room 9. This particular staff member had no manners; she was rude, spoke to my wife in a condescending tone, and even raised her voice. Hey lady, if you don’t like your job, then quit. Find something better to do, don’t bring your personal problems to work. I know your life might be miserable, but please don’t make other people’s lives miserable too. To the manager: please do something about this. Please train your staff to have a better attitude and more professionalism.

VFS lived up to many of the negative reviews I’d read beforehand. The service was disorganized, communication was poor, and it felt like no one really cared about you. It’s no surprise they’re sitting at a 3.0-star rating. I honestly think it should have been lower. The Italian Department staff were extremely unhelpful, and the entire process felt unnecessarily difficult. I honestly wouldn’t recommend applying for a visa through this company — you’ll save yourself time and money as this firm is utterly useless. Overall, a disappointing experience that I hope others can avoid.

Dear VFS Global Team, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the courier service linked to my recent visa application experience. Due to my demanding work schedule, I opted and paid online for the courier service during my visa application process, expecting a smooth return of my documents. However, upon arriving at the VFS Global application center, I was informed by one of your staff that I needed to upgrade the courier service. Trusting this would ensure better handling and faster delivery, I paid an additional \$10 on the spot. Despite this, two weeks after receiving my visa decision, I was contacted by the courier company stating that they attempted delivery but no one was available to receive it. I did not receive any call or notification from the delivery personnel prior to this attempt. Consequently, my passport was returned to the VFS Global application center, and I was forced to take a leave from work just to collect it in person — completely undermining the purpose of paying for courier services not once, but twice. This experience was both frustrating and disappointing. It reflects a lack of coordination, professionalism, and consideration for applicants' time and commitments. I sincerely hope you review this matter and take the necessary steps to improve your courier service process and communication moving forward.

The VFS website has been having issue for over a week. I’ve tried to login many times at different times of the day and only managed to access it once. Even then i couldn’t select the visa type i wanted (D-study), as the sub-category list didn’t show up. VFS hasn’t made any announcement about fixing the problem and still claims the website works fine. Some people had to go directly to the VFS office to book an appointment and were charged double the fee. Is VFS intentionality ignoring the issue to profit from student?
