  Come here for tropical rainforest vibes with hanging plants, water, birds, and a gravel walkway. The drinks are fresh and delicious. As with many places in Hoi An, there’s smoking inside. So to avoid breathing it in wear a mask or move away from others. I love taking people here to show them how Vietnam takes cafes to the next level!

  I saw the mixed reviews- some are pointing out the lack of animal welfare. I went last week for a salty lemon juice (I told them no sugar). The ambience is nice. They even trusted me to pay back as I did not had cash on me. And they don’t accept cards unfortunately. For this a big thanks- for trusting and let me pay later. Regards the animal: the snack has now an upgrade with a wood a plate on the floor. Some boxes had some poo (!) I recommend to clean every day in the aquarium and boxes - for hygiene purposes ! A clean animal is safer for children.

  My wife and I were recommended Tropical cafe by fellow hotel guests. We were pleasantly surprised when entering; it was like walking into a real tropical rain forest, with loads of beautiful ferns, a large pond with koi fish, and the sound of rain as water is pumped onto the roof and falls back down into the pond. The sound of the 3 caged parrots added to the atmosphere, as does the artificial fog blown over the pond. Our coconut and salt coffees were nice and reasonably priced (see photos of drinks in menu) However, the lone rabbit sitting, trembling in his very small bare cage, as well as the snake in its wire cage, left us questioning the ethics of keeping them in such conditions, albeit we read that another reviewer with similar concerns, was informed by the owner that the rabbit is let out at night

  Gorgeous environment. Very photogenic and beautiful. It was a serene environment where you could enjoy great coffee. We had an egg coffee and a juice - highly recommend the former as it is creamy and sweet. It blends well with the strong coffee once you mix it. As with all the other reviews, I agree that the animals are not a necessary feature of the cafe. Particularly, some are exotic and it feels unethical keeping them in small cages with no enrichment. Owner, please consider removing them safely from this cafe. I read a reply from the owner stating that the rabbit is left out in the evening and i hope this is true. Otherwise, it would be very cruel.

  They no longer have any rabbits or birds. We came here in search of cute animals, but it wasn’t the case. Now it’s just a coffee shop with a huge Koi pond and tons of tropical trees. There is nothing nearby this location and it’s kind of industrial so not the best spot to stop at. Also, my egg coffee looked super flat and sad

  DO NOT COME HERE ANIMALS MISTREATED ‼️⚠️ PLEASE READ REVIEWS Came here expecting a nice cafe but was really put off to find animals on display, including a snake and a rabbit kept in small cages. It was really sad to see and completely unnecessary. The rabbit looked super depressed, very hot and had no hay - just made me feel so uncomfortable and so sorry for all the animals here. I don’t think animals should be used like this, especially in a cafe. Made me want to leave straight away. Wouldn’t recommend supporting a place that treats animals like decor. Plenty of better cafes in Hoi An that don’t do this. DO NOT COME HERE ‼️‼️⚠️⚠️ In response to the owner’s comments on this post: 1. Why does the snake have no substrate and is just sitting on metal bars? 2. Why does the rabbit have no substrate/ bedding and no access to hay which is essential to its dental and gut health? 3. Why does the rabbit have no cooling systems - we had to place a fan near it when we were there as the poor thing was very visibly overheated! 4. Why do none of the animals have no enrichment in their cages with the exception of a single wooden log for the iguana! I can see that previous reviews have referred to there being no enrichment. Why have you not acted on this? 5. Find it very telling for the owner to refer to the animals as ‘toys’. 6. Why is there another review about a rabbit chewing on plastic and that rabbit appears to no longer be there? Looking through other reviews it is clear many other people have noticed neglect and why as an animal lover myself do I feel so saddened to see all these animals in your ‘care’. Also find it very interesting that’s suddenly after I posted this review you suddenly got many 5 star rates all at once - when previously the reviews had been sparse! And looking through other reviews it is undeniable that many people feel the same about this mistreatment of animals!
