  I cannot say enough good things about this place. Amazing beds with real mattresses (only four beds per rooms and no bunk beds), modern bathrooms with hot water, roof top terrace with beer fridge and cocktails, just tell the owner how many drinks you grabbed at the end of the night. It's a social hostel but not a party hostel. Very respectful and friendly in all interactions. To top it off you get a free breakfast that includes eggs, toast AND pancakes. Defintely a highlight of my trip to Vietnam!

  Great hostel, ended up staying 6 nights in a 4 bed dorm. Loved that the shower had a door separating it from the toilet, it's the small things. Free shampoo and body wash was very nice to have as well. The staff were super friendly, always up for a chat or to help you out planning things to do or how to continue your trip. Breakfast was great, scrambled egg and pancakes and they kindly offer you more if you want it! Didn't get round to joining a family dinner but it looked delicious. Super happy to see a free water filter in the social area. Refilled my bottle countless time saving me money and reducing plastic waste. Played quite a bit of pool. In the evening the night staff lady, who we affectionally named 'Coach', always took an active interest in our games pointing out the best shot and becoming very disappointed if we missed. Don't hesitate to stay here!

  Really good hostel to have some nights in Hoi An. The dormitory obviously lacks of privacy, but I fortunately was alone during my stay in there. The familly dinner (60.000 dong) is delicious and huge, a good occasion to have a good time with the owner and the other backpackers. The breakfast is light but good, you can choose different type of eggs (with bread) or pancakes, served with bananas, with coffee or tea.

  I booked a private room which turned out to be in a building down the street above a burger restaurant (complete with a view into the kitchen). The room was clean although there was only a mattress protector on the bed and no sheet. I picked up a couple of bed bug bites which I had also seen a few other people mention in the reviews. The main hostel has a rooftop which is actually just a small square of concrete with a couple of chairs- the rooftop bar is long gone and it’s just an empty room where someone has set up a bed. I had the ‘family dinner’ one night (60k though it mysteriously went up to 70k on the reception blackboard the next day). The dinner was just a few plates of cold fries, some soggy egg pancakes, a few lettuce leaves and rice paper to wrap in with some fried spring rolls and a few bits of hard pineapple and mango. The staff who ate with us didn’t seem overly keen to be there and this was the only opportunity to mingle with other guests as there’s no real common area, just a pool table and a couple of tables at reception. The location was good and thankfully it’s right next to the Tribee Kinh bar of you want to meet people. Perplexed as to why it got such a high rating as everyone else I met starting there agreed it was average at best. Wouldn’t go back. Pictured: the view from the room.

  Stayed a couple nights here in a private twin room. The rooms aren't the most modern but they're clean and bright with a sweet little balcony. The girls at reception were some of the nicest, most helpful staff we encountered in Vietnam. They gave lots of great recommendations for food and activities, organised laundry/bike rental/airport transfer, and booked a great cooking tour too!

  The staff at this hostel are great. They are friendly and caring. For example, I left some items at Leo Leo hostel and they posted them to Hanoi for me. ||The hostel was very clean and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Vietnam (and free). I would highly recommend this hostel!

  We stayed here for three nights, two of which in a shared room and the last, a private, double room. We were impressed with the quality of the rooms and service here. The rooms are clean and tidy. The location is ideal, you are a few minutes away from the ancient town and a short cycle away from the beaches. I would highly recommend renting a bicycle here to get around, as it is a lovely place to cycle in and only costs around £1 from the hostel. Great value, and there’s are also two lovely corgi puppies in the homestay too (if you don’t like me dogs don’t worry, they are kept away!)

  I Booked this place after doing quite some research and I read amazing things on various travel blogs and booking websites. We booked 4 nights in a private room but ended up checking out after only 1 night because it was just not what we thought it would be. Aparantly the hostel is split into 2 buildings. The first one being the main one which also had the cosy looking common room which looked very attractive on the pictures, bit grubby looking in real life sadly. We were situated in the second building which looked very uninviting and we had to go through a restaurant to get to the rooms. Upon checking in the staff was really friendly and she gave us a lot of info which I was very pleased with. Now I knew beforehand it was going to be quite basic but there were just a few things wrong or missing that other hostels in the same price range do get right. There was free shower gel and shampoo available in the shower but the dispenser was broken so could not use that. There was a huge hair (defo not mine) curled up on the free amenities and the glass next to it was not clean. The fan was not working even though the head was turning (how?). The room was quite small which is not uncommon for this price but it just would be nice to have a bit of space to open both our suitcases. The fake marble wall looked like its letting go of life as well. I also found it odd that there was no sheet on the bed, only a matress protector. Not sure if it gets cleaned after every guest but I just didnt want to think about it and just dealt with it. The airco was working really well so thats nice. The next morning we went for breakfast which is free and it was simple but tasty and you can have seconds if you are still hungry. You have to go to the other building though and cross the busy street which just kills the experience of being in a supposably cosy hostel. After breakfast we were just not feeling the vibe and decided we did not want to spend the rest of our time in Hoi An here and decided to spend the other 3 nights at another place. Upon checkout the staff was really helpful again and didnt make a big deal out of it. She even booked us a car to our next place. All in all was just dissapointed cause everyone had so many nice words about this place but there was just no ambiance at all and the facilities were not looked after well.
