This hotel is another absolute banger! Beautiful surroundings, fabulous rooms and right on the river. Breakfast is lovely, lots of choice. Foot massage was amazing (never had one before, my trotters felt amazing after). I’d definitely recommend this hotel. Lovely and helpful staff, they gave us tips on local tailors, ones that do not inflate prices for tourists. We didn’t use them though this time as not enough space in the case 😢.

We had an amazing stay at the Anantara Hoi An. The hotel is absolutely perfect for a relaxing time close to the centre of the historic centre, away from the crowds and hustle and bustle. Great facilities, great rooms, great food and even better service from all the staff. My wife had arranged a private dinner on our final night which was first class. Lovely setting by the water with super food and lovely ambience. Highly recommend.

Anantara is an excellent resort, a wonderful place to stay. This was our third stay there and we plan to return again next spring. It’s a resort where guests are treated like family. It’s also a wonderful hotel with the best location in Hoi An, right next to the Old Town. Its restaurant (the Hoi An Riverside Restaurant) is A+ with really good food and service while dining outdoors (or under a roof if desired) on the romantic riverside. Its rooms are very comfortable and clean. The spa is incredible with unbelievably good massages. The Anantara is on the water so boat rides and tours are easy. We look forward to our return.

The location of the anantara in hoi an is perfect being on the river and close to the old town. We stayed 3 nights (2 nights get one night free offer) we arrived on the vietage by anantara train from Quy Nhon using the hotel arranged pickup from Da Nang. I know the hotel well have stayed there alone, with whole family and this time just with my wife. A stay in hoi a wouldn’t be the same without some time at the anantara. We had a garden facing room, the rooms are just perfect and our package had free mini bar. Sarah and I would have a beer comfortable private lobby area outside the room. We used the lobby a lot, it has fan, daybeds either side of entrance. The wall over the bed had a photo by local celebrity photographer rehahn, his art can be seen outside the breakfast / spa area. Every evening we would have happy hour drinks at the Hoi A riverside restaurant. Thao served us our drinks most evenings which was Jasmine IPA (Saigon Pasteur brewery) for me and Sarah would have the Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough which were both served ice cold in ice cold glasses. Thao I remember from my first stay at hotel in 2022, it’s always a good sign when key staff like Thao are there when you return, it makes you feel at home. Happy hour 4-6pm, buy one get one free is an institution at the hotel where guests mingle and chat, watch the sun set and the boats chug up the river to find their guests for a lantern lit boat trip (the boats reminded us of the 70s tv show the wacky races). When we left the anantara for another Hoi an colonial style hotel we came back each night for happy hour. breakfast is excellent, I had Pho Ga each morning with fruit and Vietnamese iced coffee. I used the gym, well equipped with Techno gym equipment. One morning I attended the complementary Yoga session in the pool area at 7:30am, I was the only one and experienced a memorable private session with Julie, I was treated to a head massage during the relaxation at the end

We love the Anantara and have stayed here many times over the years, we would not stay anywhere else. It is close to town but such great respite to return after walking through the old town. Breakfast is alway a treat here and we also ate at the restaurant on 2 nights of our 6 night stay. Food was good and service is always top notch. We look forward to staying here on our next visit. ||PS Art Space do a fabulous pizza which we enjoyed by the pool.

The Anantara Hoi An is a lovely resort in Hoi An, a tranquil oasis within the hustle and bustle of the centre. The staff is incredibly helpful, polite and attentive. They really went over and beyond in order to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible and they have certainly succeeded. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. The location, the staff, the premises, the rooms as well as the breakfast all make for a wonderful experience. Thank you again to the entire Anantara Hoi An team for making this a memorable experience!

We had two nights in the Anantara resort Hoi An and whilst it was by no means awful, I couldn't honestly say it was exceptional, either. Reception seemed a bit uninterested and in fact at no time in the two days did anyone refer to us by name. The room was ok, if a little dark, with an unappealing balcony by the entrance door and average, not luxury, fittings. In fairness, the gardens are well kept and attractive, the pool area pleasant and there are views of the river from the other side of the hotel, though sadly not from our room. Breakfast in the restaurant was pretty mediocre buffet fare and the breakfast box provided for our early departure went in the bin.||All of that said, it has a great location. The centre of Hoi An is a five minute walk away and if you want an alternative to the hotel breakfast, there are literally dozens of coffee shops a gentle stroll away. The request for a tailoring recommendation worked well as did the dinner recommendation. ||Overall, by no means awful but the competition for great hotels in Vietnam is hot. Great location no doubt but let down by some not especially engaged staff and slightly tired rooms. Could be great with a little investment in training and decor.

This property is beautiful and luxurious. The staff is welcoming and incredibly accommodating. Everything here is first class. We were upgraded to a suite and it was spacious and extremely comfortable. We would happily return to this resort in the future, and probably will. The location is excellent. Minutes from old town, the resort promises and delivers on having easy access to all of the important sites, attractions, and businesses in Hoi An. If you can, book some spa time. The staff is skilled and experience is delightful.
