  A quiet and wonderful stay in Hoi An We had a very good stay at Emerald Hoi An Riverside Resort. From the beginning, the team was extremely kind and well prepared for our arrival. They even arranged a transfer from the train station to the hotel, which made everything much easier and more comfortable. We used some of the hotel amenities and were very happy with the experience. The laundry service did a great job with our clothes. We were a little worried about possible damage to some delicate items, but everything came back perfectly clean and in great condition. The pool area is very nice, calm, and relaxing. The water was a little warm, but it was still a great place to rest. We also tried the massage service, and it was very good — a strong but relaxing massage. A special thank you to Maya at the front desk, who was always available to help us, even through WhatsApp, and to Quang from the restaurant and pool service, who was always friendly, helpful, and attentive. Overall, this is a very good hotel: quiet, with great rooms, a nice restaurant, and a good breakfast. We stayed in room 101, which was very peaceful and had excellent access to both the pool and the restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

  I booked with Expedia but it's been too long to leave a review there, so I came to google. Went summer 2025 and our experience here was great. Wonderful staff. Good breakfast. The pool was so nice. It's located right across from a laundry service shop, so we were able to wash clothes easily. When it was too hot to explore, I enjoyed getting ice cream at the cafe and sitting by the pool and our kid could swim. At the hotel they advertised that they offered a cooking class that I regret not trying -- but if we come back that will be on the list! Would definitely stay here again.

  Our stay at Emerald was truly memorable. The property is surrounded by nature and sits beautifully near the river, offering scenic views that feel straight out of a movie. Waking up to the fresh air, greenery, and peaceful surroundings was one of the highlights of our trip. The garden is well maintained, the swimming pool is excellent, and the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The staff deserves special appreciation for being friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. A useful tip for vegetarian travelers: there are very limited vegetarian breakfast options available at the property. If you are strictly vegetarian, it may be better to book your room without breakfast and enjoy breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants instead. You'll likely get more variety and better value. Since the resort is very close to nature and the river, there are quite a few lizards around the property, especially in the lobby and common areas at night. We hardly noticed them during the day, but those who have a strong fear of lizards should keep this in mind before booking. It is not just one or two lizards—you can expect to see a fair number of them after sunset. If you're comfortable with that, the natural setting is absolutely worth it. Overall, Emerald is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking for peace, nature, beautiful riverside views, fresh air, and a relaxing escape from the busy city life. We had a great time and would happily stay here again.

  The staff at this hotel really make you welcome and there is nothing that is too much trouble. They address you by name which really adds a personal touch. Our room was great and serviced every day with clean sheets etc. The buffet breakfast gives you a great start to the day with a large variety with something for everyone. Only a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An but once on the property it's a great place to relax overlooking the river. Very nice pool area together with all the facilities you would need. Highly recommended!

  Don't want to write a good review as we want to keep this hotel a secret!! This was our second visit and we have already booked to go back again. the waiting staff around the pool are really attentive, especially Quang. Reception team amazing. can't wait to come back!!!

  This is a lovely place with outstanding staff, friendly and amenable. Nothing is too much trouble. |It is very clean, the pool is fabulous and proximity to Old Town is perfect. Breakfast is great and happy hour from 12 to 6 is great value. |This was my second stay at Emerald and it will be my destination next time I visit Vietnam.

  The Emerald was everything we hoped for and more. The setting is gorgeous, especially the pool - even better than any of the photos we had seen prior. The rooms were nice and had everything we needed. The location is excellent, being only 1 or 2 streets back from the action, and still felt serene once you were back inside the property. Take advantage of the bicycles too, an early morning cycle around the town is an activity itself, nice and flat and easy cycling. But it is the staff who make this place amazing. Attentive, friendly and engaging. If you're looking for accommodation in Hoi An i highly recommend The Emerald.

  This hotel was perfectly situated on the edge of the old town of Hoi An, 5 minutes walk away from the action but peaceful, on the rear side of one of the town's islands. Our river view room 303 was just that - great view across lawns to the peaceful river. It's quite a large hotel with an excellent pool as its focal point, again facing the river, and with sun loungers and towels provided. Just what we needed to relax and cool off late afternoon, after exploring the old town and other local area highlights like the Coconut Forest.|Staff were very helpful, recommending a good restaurant (Mango Mango just by the lantern boats) and a tailors in town for us to visit for a custom-made dress. They also provided ginger tea for an upset stomach! |We dined in one evening and food was decent although service was surprisingly slow given the small number of diners. There was an impressive looking buffet for breakfast but it didn't really hit the mark for us, although there was an egg and noodle station. |On our last morning we were woken by an incredibly loud drilling noise at 0730 - it turned out to be someone working in the grounds of the building site next door - just a few metres away from our room. So this could be an issue for a few months until the building is finished which didn't look too far off (it may in fact be completed now, as 2 months have passed). |Directly across the road is a 24hr laundry service which is just 1 USD per kilo if you're away for some time like us.|I'm giving this hotel a 4/5 due to the neighbouring building site noise and slightly disappointing breakfast buffet but it was a well kept and well located hotel with very pleasant staff and with a fab pool.
