  We had a really enjoyable stay at The Lion King Hotel in Hoi An, largely thanks to Robert and Flower, who run the property. They are genuinely warm, helpful and go out of their way to make guests feel welcome, which made a big difference to our experience. **** The hotel itself is quite basic in terms of accommodation. If you are expecting a high level of luxury, premium finishes, or the attention to detail you would get from an international chain, this may not be the right fit. That said, if you are looking for a well located place with friendly, attentive service and good value for money, this is a great option. The location is convenient and the hospitality from the hosts really stands out. Overall, a great stay, just go in with the right expectations and you will likely enjoy it.

  Cannot recommend Lion King Hotel enough!!! The location was absolutely perfect, so close to old town. The service we received from the owners was unmatched. They are some of the most genuine and loveliest people we have met on our trip. They were so helpful and gave us so many amazing recommendations for food etc. They also organised a private coconut boat trip for us which was super fun. We booked the delux double room with balcony which was a beautiful room. Super big and luxurious and exactly like the photos! 10/10 recommend if you’re visiting Hoi An!!

  Our stay at Lion King Hotel was absolutely wonderful. The location is at a sweet and peaceful spot, free from noise yet very close enough to access all main attractions easily. The check-in was smooth, and the hosts were exceptionally welcoming. Mrs. Flower personally greeted us and even prioritized room allocation before check-in process completion, ensuring comfort and convenience. Since the hotel doesn’t have a lift, she thoughtfully gave us a first-floor room to make access easier. The room was compact but comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking the swimming pool area and a charming alley. It offered a beautiful sunrise view every morning — a perfect start to the day. The hosts and staff were very attentive, helping carry our luggage up and down the stairs, which was greatly appreciated. Mr. Robert kindly arranged an airport taxi at a economical rate than Grab, demonstrating the team’s genuine care for guests. Mrs. Flower’s hospitality truly stood out — she offered a customised vegetarian Bánh Mì during check-in and check-out, a simple but deeply thoughtful gesture. She also took the time to share local recommendations, highlight nearby attractions, and explain Hoi An’s local customs and do’s and don’ts, which added so much value to our trip. Overall, this was a top-notch experience, easily surpassing our stays at some 4-star hotels. The personalized touches, peaceful location, and heartfelt hospitality make Lion King Hotel a place we would love to return to.

  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The accommodation itself was in close proximity of the old quarter. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff and the owners. We had been travelling for 17hrs and by the time we got to our hotel we were exhausted. We were greeted with such warm and friendly service and a light meal (banh mi) to help us settle in which we ended up having as dinner then having a very early night. We were treated like friends for our stay and given lots of guidance and help with whatever help we needed. Highly recommend the Lion King Hotel for your next Hoi An stay!

  We absolutely loved our stay at Lion King Hotel! Flower and her husband were so welcoming and accommodating, providing so much insight and recommendations for our stay - it was clear how much they loved their city and loved sharing this passion with their guests. They were always available to assist or even just for a friendly chat, we felt very welcomed! The location was excellent, nice and close to the Old Town without too much foot traffic/noise. The room was very quiet, clean and well sized. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

  Exceptional stay thanks to the wonderful owners! ❤️ We had a fantastic time at Lion King Hotel. The highlight was the excellent customer service from the owners, Flower and Robert. They go above and beyond to make you feel truly welcomed and at home. They gave us great restaurant recommendations, suggested an amazing tailor and even helped organise and book all our tours. We especially loved the motorbike tour in the countryside with Sunrise Tours, it was one of the best experiences of our trip! The hotel’s location is perfect, just a short, pleasant walk to the Old Town of Hoi An, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The swimming pool was a lifesaver for cooling off and relaxing after a hot day exploring. Highly recommended! We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Hoi An.

  ​Fantastic Stay – Perfect Location and Superior Service! ​I had an incredible stay at The Lion King Hotel and cannot recommend it enough. The location is unbeatable; everything you need—from massage shops and great restaurants to convenience stores and tailors—is within a short walking distance. ​What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. They create such a kind and welcoming atmosphere and provide truly courteous service. A huge bonus: the hotel offers private transport to Da Nang at a cheaper price than Grab, which was so convenient! I will definitely be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

  Lion King Hotel was an absolute highlight of our time in Hoi An.|The hotel itself is a lovely boutique-style property with large, spacious and very comfortable rooms, cute little balconies and a beautiful pool area to relax around. The location is fantastic too – right in the middle of all the action with great street vibes and within easy walking distance of everything, yet still a great place to retreat to at the end of the day.|What really made our stay though were Robert and Flower. I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and I honestly can't think of hosts who made us feel more welcome. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were being welcomed home rather than checking into a hotel.|Nothing was ever too much trouble. They were full of great local tips and recommendations, welcomed us with the most delicious bánh mì, and throughout our stay were always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. They even treated us to some traditional Hoi An sesame biscuits, which were absolutely delicious.|The real testament to their hospitality came when we had to leave at 4:45am. Robert came in especially to farewell us, help with our bags and send us on our way with packed breakfasts – yes, more delicious bánh mì!|The hotel is wonderful, the location couldn't be better, but it's the genuine warmth and kindness of Robert and Flower that make this place so special.|If you're heading to Hoi An, book it. You won't regret it.
