  The food was delicious and full of flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The drinks were refreshing and well-balanced. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had a great dining experience and would definitely come back again.

  Absolutely lovely spot. Even if the food was ok I would recommend because of the vibe, style and location. But I am glad to say the food was amazing! Pricer but well worth the extra cost for varied, delicious dishes in a great atmosphere. Would recommend any of the Vietnamese dishes. Staff were perfect as well. Plus it has a buy one get one free happy hour, what’s not to like!

  From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, a sense of warmth and authenticity enveloped us, promising an exceptional Vietnamese dining experience. And it delivered, in spades. Our culinary journey began with the quintessential Vietnamese starter: spring rolls. These weren't your average, run-of-the-mill rolls; they were delicate, expertly crafted parcels of fresh herbs, tender vegetables, and perfectly cooked protein, all encased in a paper-thin, yet resilient rice paper. The accompanying dipping sauce, a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and savory notes, elevated the experience, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. Next, we sampled the fish balls. Unlike the dense, often rubbery versions found elsewhere, these were light, airy, and bursting with the fresh taste of the sea. They were clearly made with high-quality ingredients, and the subtle seasoning allowed the natural sweetness of the fish to shine through. However, the true star of the evening was the cobia fish in a clay pot. This dish, a testament to the art of Vietnamese cooking, was a revelation. The cobia, a firm, white fish, was cooked to perfection, its flaky texture melting in the mouth. The clay pot, imbued with the rich, earthy aromas of caramel, ginger, and garlic, created a deeply satisfying and complex sauce that clung to the fish, infusing it with layers of flavor. Each bite was a harmonious blend of sweet, salty, and slightly spicy notes, a testament to the balance and artistry of Vietnamese cuisine.   I’ve been here a few times, and the food is always consistently impressive. Ingredients are fresh, service is always top notch, and the chef’s cooking is excellent. They can adjust the ingredients if you don’t eat meat, have a wide range of Vietnamese and Western dishes, and are really well priced compared to other restaurants in this part of the town. It’s a lot more peaceful too, and has a view of the river, also easily accessible just over the bridge on the other side of the Old City. Recommended dishes - the shredded soup with wood ear, seaweed and egg - a specialty I’ve never tried before. They can adjust the Vietnamese pancake which is excellent, also their banana blossom salad. The water spinach can be ordered with or without fresh prawns. Rice paper rolls can be easily adjusted to vegan upon request and are so very fresh and vibrant in colour. They make freshly squeezed juices and fresh coconut juice in the shell, and have a drinks menu which includes mocktails. Highly recommended and thankbyou to the brilliant chefs and wait staff ❤️❤️❤️

  I didn’t even know just how tasty Pho Bo (beef noodle soup) could be until I ate in Long Den Restaurant!. The broth was rich and flavoursome even before I started to add the wonderful fresh, aromatic herbs. I ordered it expecting to eat the soup and noodles, but leave the beef, because I’ve usually found it to be either fatty or tough. However, I cleared the lot because the beef was thinly sliced, lean and very tender. This was easily the best tasting Pho I’ve had to date in two weeks in the country. My wife ordered the Banh Xeo, which she also raved about. The setting is lovely, in a very stylish hotel right on the river. I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because there was only one other couple eating the night we were there, but this of course meant that the service was instantaneous and it was early January. I expect that it will get a lot busier as the season progresses and the crowds are forced to venture further from the market. We have only one night left in Hoi An and are tempted to go back here again tonight!

  We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner at this restaurant. Every dish we ordered was excellent and truly delicious. The fried wontons were a standout, as were the famous Hoi An pancakes and the chicken with cashew nuts. It was a fantastic meal from start to finish.

  I don't understand the high ratings!? We had two misses out of thee. First mango smoothie barely had any mango, maybe green mango, and was mostly milk. Second, the wontons took ages to come (and no the restaurant was not busy), were room temperature, not hot like they had just been cooked, they had a weird sausage like filling with sweet and sour sauce. Next was the beef pho, again took quite a while and wasn't piping hot. Beef was already cooked, not thin slivers to be cooked in the soup and was a little tough. The broth was nice and the noodles had a good bite. On the upside, we gave the feedback to the wait staff and received a plate of fruit in acknowledgement. That was a nice touch, but ideally the restaurant should improve the quality of food and drinks. Normally I take lots to pics of food, but didn't here which speaks for itself.

  After reading all the positive reviews we decided to try this place. Sorry to disappoint but my over cooked chicken breast and rock hard garlic bread i mentioned to the waiter and she asked if I wanted a steak knife. The rest is history. I'm thinking the shef & staff may have changed since the reviews I read. I'm not a hater i paid our bill and left.
