We had an amazing experience at Purple Lantern Restaurant. It’s a lovely family-run restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, just a short walk from the beach. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of authentic Vietnamese flavors. You can really feel the care and passion behind every dish. A special thanks to the owner, Na, who made our visit even more memorable with her kindness and hospitality. She truly makes you feel at home. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food and a genuine local experience in Hoi An ✨

A beautiful, unique restaurant experience. The White Rose Dumplings were delicious as was the slow-cooked chicken with lemongrass(I'm not sure if you're supposed to eat the lemongrass shoots and I was too embarrassed to ask). The staff are absolutely lovely, and took such great care of everyone in the restaurant. I really appreciated the calming atmosphere, lighting, and colouration, as well as all the lovely decorations.

What a sweet restaurant. Our meal was very delicious and tasted like mom’s home cooking. Especially the stewed chicken! Shrimp and mango sauce was perfectly cooked also. It seems we were lucky to arrive when we did, as it filled up quickly and seems to have lots of repeat customers. We would also return again. Thank you for a lovely meal. Service was friendly and helpful.

After several visits to The Purple Lantern I just had to tell everyone what great food drinks and service is on offer in this busy little hideaway! Our serving staff was a delightful young lady called Thuong. Her English is great and her people skills were brilliant. We were served quickly and we ordered last night: Vietnamese chicken Pancakes, Grilled Chicken With Lemongrass, Mango Salad, Papaya Salad 2spatkling mineral waters, passion fruit juice and 2 glasses of Chillian Savignon Blanc. Between three of us this was a perfect amount of really delicious food at VND 636.000 L, just over AUD $34 We really enjoyed everything about our dinner and will be going back again and again. Service and meals 10/10⭐️⭐️⭐️

By far the best meal we had in An Bang, wish we were staying longer so I could try more from the menu!!! The Bánh Xèo and pomelo salad with grilled pork were outstanding.. had the mixed grilled seafood and that was more than plenty for two of us... Ask for the chef's homemade chili sauce, it's outstanding. Much love from Canada for this absolutely delicious last dinner in Vietnam 🙏🏽

Had a very, very nice meal here last night. Food was fantastic. My wife and I shared a platter to start(squid, scallops, spring rolls with a papaya salad). We also enjoyed a grilled snapper and a lemongrass pork dish with a large plate of morning glory. Everything was presented well. Nice ambience too. Tables are not too close together which we like and they played soft music creating a nice atmosphere and allowing for conversation. Owner and staff were very friendly with a great command of English. Nicely tucked away from the Main Street but very easy to find.

An outstanding gem in An Bang. Recently celebrated 11 quality years for a jolly good reason. We are so guilty of being return visitors over those 11 years. Outstanding food, service and a delightful family feel. The pomelo salad and whole red snapper are just amazing dishes for a good night with Na, Anh and family. The pomelo salad disappeared before the photo!!

We had the charcoal cooked mixed seafood and the shallot eggplant. Amazing! The topping on the scallops was delicious and the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. A small bowl of house chilli sauce was provided to our table which was a master touch. This is a gem we wish we had discovered earlier.
