  We did a private kayak tour with Long and had the best time. He soon realized that we had kayaked before and accommodated our desire to make the most of our time on the water. Long gave some nice cultural insights and he made fantastic photos of the trip. The visit to the village on the island was a really nice addition and the Whale temple was very special. Thank you Long for making this a wonderful memory for us. 5 stars well deserved. 🙏👍

  I low-key found this place through a friend’s recommendation. I was a little confused cause I never tried kayaking before, but mr Quan, our guide, was really friendly and he’s a nice tourguide. He even let me paddle a two-person kayak ( and show me how to use) The tour only lasted about 3 hours, but I genuinely had such a great time. Besides its peaceful and healing vibes, Hội An also offers amazing nature experiences like this. A big thank you to Hoi An Kayak Tour and anh Quân for such a memorable experience. See you again very soon!

  Did the sunrise paddle tour. It was a small group, total 3 guests + 1 guide. Our tour guide Quân was warm and friendly. We started off with kayaking to the sunrise spot then to the fresh seafood market. Took a short walk around the market and had Bahn mi for breakfast with coffee/tea. Then kayaked back via the mangrove forest. It was a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who would like an authentic experience!

  Had a fantastic day on the water , it was just my group of 4. We did the 8kms from Old town to Mangrove forest . It was about 2h of paddling one way. We learnt lot about the history on Hoi An and the guide (Long) was very knowledgeable.

  Fantastic morning paddle out to the fish market and through the mangrove. Very freindly and knowledgeable tour lead. Punctual pick up service and good equipment. Breakfast stop was great as well. Would highly recommend and very good value too. Photos were amazing and it was a real highlight of my short stay in Hoi An.

  We had a great tour with Quân to the coconut grove! He showed us how to kayak and we kayaked a kilometer through the coconut forest to the island. Even though it was drizzling and low tide, he had a great attitude and made it a fun kayak ride. On the island, we putzed around and got to see the straw weaving demonstration which was cool. We then kayaked back. I would say I’m pretty physically fit and it was about 40 minutes of kayaking each way which was a bit tiring so just know you get in a workout which is exactly what I wanted so 10/10 experience.

  We had a fantastic afternoon kayak tour with Long to the Ancient Town on the Thu Bon river. Long met us at our homestay, and we got a Grab to the start of the paddle. Lifejackets on and valuables in the dry bags provided, we opted for a double kayak (single also available) before getting on the water to start the 7km paddle. We first paddled across the river into some of the narrower waterways in the coconut forest, and stayed for the first few kilometres. This area was so peaceful and so beautiful, it was really special to be paddling through such glorious scenery on a beautiful day. The paddling here was fairly straightforward and we had plenty of time to slowly weave our way through before opening back out onto the main river. This was harder going against the current, but we were supplied water along the way and had a break around halfway, which was much needed. Long told us about the origins of the kayak tours and some more about his work before we continued on. It was a beautiful late afternoon, with the sun starting to lower and just a really stunning setting to be on the water with. We got to our destination and enjoyed a drink at a local bar included in the tour before heading on our way. Overall, we loved the experience and would highly recommend to others! Just a quick note as we booked this as a 'Sunset kayak to lantern town'. You can't really get into the heart of Hoi An due to the number of boats so you won't be flanked by the lanterns on both sides at any point, and the paddle finished a little while before sunset I would say, so again it's more likely to be late afternoon. That doesn't take away from the experience, it is still magical, but worth managing your expectations on these particular elements.

  Prices are relatively high for kayak hire when compared to other costs in Vietnam. For example our 900,000 VND to take 2 double kayaks for 2 hours was almost as much as it cost for a car and driver ferrying us between special locations from Son Tra Peninsula to Hoi An for the whole of the previous day, carrying our luggage safely in his car the entire time. However, if you want to get out kayaking there’s not a lot of choice, and the equipment is up to the task. Staff were friendly and helpful.
