  Rooms are good. A clean and quite hotel with lazy staff. The only issue we faced was that, they don't serve food in the room. And the restaurant they had was smelling bad because of the heavy rain. Breakfast buffet has very limited options and not suitable for Vegetarians.

  Very old building (now they construct a new building). Breakfast buffet is very limited, evening restaurant for dinner you have to order in advance so they will cook. Rooms are very poor and service as well - typical communism style.

  Old type room, not good view to out side. Small rooms, not clean properly. Fungal problems in wooden almirah and drawers. Only vietnamese folt with limitations. They renovated but only out side of hotel to look better inside still old.

  Location is good, just cross the road to be able to enjoy the walk around the lake. One of the better hotels in this non-touristy city. Rooms are average. Breakfast included in the price, mostly Vietnamese food but with enough extras for me to be able to have a reasonable meal, especially being vegetarian. There is an outdoor swimming pool which I didn't use.

  It locates in front of the 3/2 square in the centre of the city. Good place to wander around and enjoy street food. The hotel is abit old and in rebuilt stage. The service need to be improved, example the service for breakfast buffe. There isnt much choice food for the breakfast also..

  There aren't many hotels in the town of Nam Dinh but the Vihoang Hotel is definitely the best one. The hotel is located in the centre of Nam Dinh at the central (small) lake. It has three types of rooms of which two have a view on the lake. Prices range from $13 to $22 (april 2015).||I have tried the two more expensive types and both are satisfying. They have a balcony, airconditioning, a flat screen tv with Vietnamese and international channels, a water cooker, wifi in the room and a complimentary bottle of water, tea and coffee.||The bathroom has a bathtub with shower and a w.c. The hot water is generated by a hot water tank inside the bathroom that provided hot water day and night.||Breakfast is included and offers a choice of western (bread) and asian (rice, noodles) food, vegetables and fruit, cakes plus tea, coffee and juices.||I found this a pleasant hotel, the staff are very friendly, the location is fine.||It has known better days but it still offers enough comfort at very reasonable prices.||And Nam Dinh is certainly worth a visit!

  Nam Dinh is off the tourist trail. We were here to volunteer at the Nam Dinh University of Nursing and they put us up here. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It sits opposite a lovely park with lake and walking path around the water. It is a 3 star hotel and looks to us as the best in town and used by business/govt people.||Breakfast is a buffet with local food but you can ask for an egg to be cooked to go with toast, fruit, fruit juice. A little limited selection though.||Our room was very large with a balcony overlooking the park/lake. There are other smaller rooms as well.||The room was clean. There is some noise but it is not unpleasant - more people enjoying themselves.||Warning - the mattress on the bed was quite "hard" by western standards.||In our room there was a kettle, fridge, 1 bottle of water/person, A/C, TV, bath. ||The free WiFi worked well.||We went to Big C by taxi to buy some food such as extra water, milk, tea, biscuits etc||The staff were friendly and helpful but have very little English.||We ate lunch here most days and the food was OK from a limited menu. ||The ATM out the front did not accept our MasterCard Cash Card.

  This hotel was hosting a conference that I attended, so I did not choose it. The location is great, since it overlooks a park and the lake. I was able to walk around the lake each morning and see people doing tai chi, salsa dances and playing badminton. The hotel food was alright, but nothing special. There was a large breakfast buffet and free fruit bowls.
