  We’ve done much travelling throughout the years but never have we used a travel company outside of our home country and in the country of destination. Having made the decision to use a Vietnamese travel company for our Vietnam/Cambodia trip, much research was carried out to ascertain which one to use. After reading reviews on various platforms and reading blogs, we decided on Tonkin Travel, which emerged as a trustworthy and reliable company. From the get-go their communication was efficient, transparent and informative. We were assigned the lovely Hanh as our travel consultant who provided a wonderful 30-day trip to Vietnam and Cambodia of the places and activities that interested us. Her organisation and communication were impeccable and we had the pleasure of actually meeting her in person in Hanoi. We also had the pleasure of meeting Hue, one of the co-founders, who offered us such friendly hospitality. Everything about our trip from hotels, to guides to places we visited and excursions in each place exceeded our expectations. What an amazing and memorable time we had. We highly recommended Tonkin Travel and thank you, Hanh and the team at Tonkin, for making our trip so memorable.

  My husband and I just returned from Vietnam and everything was planned seamlessly by Hanh. She was attentive to every detail and made sure we were always happy with our experience. She made our trip so easy and smooth. What we also liked was how flexible she was with some of the last minute changes we made. Hanh made our trip so memorable. She is so professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to travel to either Vietnam or Cambodia to contact Hanh at Tonkin Travel. I felt so secure that we were in her hands. Thank you Hanh for taking such good care of us. PS we also liked our guide Phong who was very knowledgable and easy to travel with.

  Tonkin travel has been the best agency I have used. The attention to detail, their professionalism, their helpfulness has been outstanding. They have kept in touch through our month long tour. They have checked us in on all our flights, made sure all our guides and drivers are reliable and trustworthy. I would like to personally thank Mrs Nga Duong for all her help and expertise. She went above and beyond in all her work practices. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone who wishes to travel to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

  Tonkin Travel helped us with the best vacation we've ever had! From the beginning of planning, Nga helped us so much. I had so many questions as this was a big trip for us, she was so patient and friendly. All the tours she arranged, the accommodations, the tour guides, the restaurants, it was all first class.   We had an incredible 13 day trip from Hanoi to Hoi An with stops in Sapa, Halong Bay, Ninh Binh and Da Nang. Hanh organized every little detail, private drivers, private guides, local flights, tours, amazing accommodations and meals. We felt very well taken care of. Hanh went above and beyond to answer questions and offer assistance when needed. We had an issue with our bank card being retained in an ATM machine. Hanh even came to meet us at the bank and offered us assistance and flexibility in our trip to have our driver go back to pick up our card the next day. It was very reassuring to have a local contact for emergencies. If you would like a hassle free trip and wonderful cultural immersion to Vietnam look no further. Hanh and Tonkin travel were able to customize our trip based on our interests and desired activity level. We would recommend Hanh and Tonkin without any hesitation.

  We absolutely loved this tour, and can't recommend it enough . We went on a day excursion from Hanoi to Halong Bay. So we were picked up at our hotel in the old quarter, Phong was a great guide, and gave us lots of interesting facts along the way. Firstly went to the Pearl Centre , then onto the boat to cruise round Halong bay, we cruised round a bit and then docked , you could hike up to a view point and/ or swim in the bay depending on how quickly you could get up and down to the view point. Then we were back on board for lunch- which was prepared fresh with a buffer like style - lots of freshly cooked seafood, fish , chicken , rice - there were lots of plates with different offerings, even gave us a chance to sample things we haven't tried. Then we offered to either kayak or go on a rowed boat through a cave opening into a bay. We opted for the rowed version, so it gave us an opportunity to take in our surroundings and take photos. Then up to the surprising cave system which we walked through and there are some really good view points and stalagmites and stalactites inside. The cave is quite open and large, just in case anyone has any concerns. Then back on the boat for some snacks. It is a long day but it is so amazing and worth every penny . Thank you .

  It was a lovely and lifetime experience to travel to Viernam with my family through tonkin travel. Hanh was the coordinator from Tonkin who have guided me in framing the itenary , she have helped me a lot during the tour , Vietnam is a beautiful country , people are very humble , scenic beauty is superb, me and my family will never forget the memory of this tour, my sincere gratitude to Hanh and the entire group of Tonkin Travel for helping me to have this tour, I would recommend all travellers planning for a trip to Vietnam to connect with Tonkin travel once , it's very well organized

  We visited Vietnam twice and booked our tours via tonkin travel in both occasions. I cannot recommend them enough really. If you are thinking of traveling to Vietnam and have a private tour there, look no further. They go above and beyond to create the best itinerary for your needs and think about every detail. We worked with Erika to help us set our itineraries and she was just fantastic. It was also my wife’s birthday and we had to change plans due to weather conditions and she just made wonders to make this an unforgettable experience for us even though we had to come up with a last minute plan. Their tour guides are very professional and friendly they take care of you and make adjustments to the trip to cater for your needs. I don’t think I have ever worked with a better travel agency before. They are the best.
