We found this place on Booking and honestly couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. A true gem and exactly what suits us. From start to finish, everything was excellent. Even before we arrived, we reached out with a last-minute request to organize a surprise for our son’s birthday. The team was incredible – very responsive, helpful, and genuinely excited to help us make it special. They arranged a cake and even surprised him in the room, where the fun employee from reception sang Happy Birthday. It was such a thoughtful and unforgettable moment for our family. The rest of the stay was just as great. The hotel is very clean, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is outstanding – from breakfast to dinner. We especially appreciated the focus on high-quality, non-GMO ingredients, which is a big plus for us. The kind owner, Mark, was present every day, which in our opinion really helps maintain a consistently high level of quality and service. We would recommend this place 100% and would gladly return.

We found Cassia Cottage online while looking for somewhere more central, as we had already booked a hotel in the north — and wow, what a find! This place did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and spacious enough to comfortably fit us all (two adults and two young children), with so many thoughtful, beautiful touches throughout. The pool is absolutely stunning — so relaxing — and the grounds are just gorgeous. We especially loved enjoying cocktails by the beach, which made the whole experience feel extra special. A big thank you to the amazing staff, especially Nhat, Quoc, Mi, Ha, and Xuan, who made our stay even more memorable with their kindness and hospitality. Breakfast was lovely, all freshly cooked, and honestly the best pancakes — made fresh and delicious! While we didn’t have dinner at Spice House, we did try lunch and it was amazing. There are also a number of great restaurants just a short walk away, which we would definitely recommend exploring. We would absolutely stay here again — such a special place!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and our room felt like a dream romantic villa. They let us check in early (which I'm sure is only subject to availability) and check out late as well. The water pressure, dual shower set ups and dual sink set up in our modern room was absolutely full of convenience. The amenities were top notch. They had many mosquito prevention measures as well, bedding nets, electric tennis rackets, etc. Easy beach access as well too, with free yoga classes in the morning.

From the first day of arrival at Cassia Cottage Resort and Spa to the last day of our 13 night stay, everything was amazing! We booked the stay direct via their website which provided discounts on site. All the staff at the Resort are incredible, so welcoming, attentive and always wanting to please their guests. A special mention to Neuyn, Dung, Huyen (Honey), Long and Quoc, amongst others, who provided us with fantastic service from day 1. The rooms were very clean, spacious and well equipped. They had ceiling fans and air conditioning. There was a private outdoor shower area. Our room was very close to the beach front. The Spice Restaurant was exceptional. There is a wonderful range of meals available to suit a number of tastes. We did not venture out of the resort to eat at all in Duong Dong town, because the food as so superb. Every meal was a delight. There are plenty of places to eat nearby but we didn’t feel the need. We used the Spa services which were great. There is free yoga every morning, 8.00-9.00. The Resort offers and Owners Reception 3 nights per week where you are welcomed with canapés and a drink. We have never been to a Resort before where the owners meet and greet their guests and talk to you - they are so welcoming and easy to talk to. The Resort was fairly quiet during our stay in June due to it being low season and the incoming rainy season. However the weather while we were there was fantastic, and we only had one night and half a day of intense rain and thunder/lightning. Phu Quoc is still a wonderful island. There is a lot of development going on in various parts but this does not in any way affect Cassia Cottage, which is in an excellent location on a fabulous beach! At the time of our stay there were other guests who were due to leave and stay at another location in the island, but decided to continue their stay at Cassia Cottage, which is a great sign of quality for the Resort. We are so grateful that we chose to stay at Cassia Cottage and that we booked direct. We would 100% recommend this Resort to everyone wanting to visit Phu Quoc!

This is a lovely space to get some R&R, whilst not being too far from a bit of the Phu Quoc action (old-world, not the plastic fake-city nonsense and theme parks). It started out as a family home that has, over time, grown into a small resort and you can definitely still feel the family vibes. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant is, by and large, excellent. They really strive to use fresh genuine local ingredients in a meaningful and clear way. Very rarely is a hotel stay perfect from start to finish, and this one was no exception. There was a problem with the aircon in my room, and I was immediately moved to a new room without fuss or incident - which is exactly what a hotel should do. The rooms are very well maintained and provide a lovely haven to relax and enjoy large showers and 4-poster beds. I love that they don't have televisions, and the WiFi is fast and stable enough to stream on your tablet or phone if you need digitising. The massage was really great, and the sea breeze and crashing waves from the open-air "spa" completely vanquished my doubts and concerns about it being a "proper spa" - it was gorgeous and priced appropriately for the facilities available. And, again, the massage itself was awesome. Thank you to Ms. Cuc for that! I would strongly recommend Cassia Cottages as a base for exploring Phu Quoc, or even just a 3-day getaway where you don't even need to leave.

This is not a quick review to earn some coins. Everything at Cassia Cottage, from its name, which indicates the roots of the owner as a former spice trader almost six decades ago, is intentional. The morning free yoga classes were a real treat, the kayaks are free to use, and the environment across the entire hotel grounds is deeply rooted in a family affair, with compassion and an eye for detail. The food at the restaurant, whether for breakfast or dinner, is superb. Everything is made in-house, all ingredients are fresh and local - it was spectacular. The sourdough bread alone is worth a visit. When booking this hotel, we were not at all aware (despite the very good overall reviews) just what a treat this is and what a contrast to the more commercial establishments. The owner and his family held receptions with free Prosecco and snacks on two evenings while we were there, welcoming each guest individually and sharing the story of Cassia Cottage's foundation. It made our stay even more enjoyable. Top location, top ambiance. If you want a 5* skyscraper in a kind of Disneyland in the South of the Island, this is NOT the right place for you. If you want a deeply relaxing experience with great attention to detail and with a personal touch, this is your place.

Had a fabulous four day stay at Cassia Cottage last week. From the onset, the team was responsive and helpful in helping me arrange snorkeling with their partner organization. Upon arrival, they were warm, welcoming, and efficient with check in. I stayed in one of the Garden Cottages and loved that it is its own unit, and was close to the restaurant and pools. The cottage had a rack to air dry things on, a hammock, and a porch with two chairs. The property itself is adorable, with quaint paths leading to the different parts, and the main pool was fabulous, with a view overlooking the beach. The staff was so friendly and kind, and you felt like a part of the crew even only being there a few days. Restaurant on the property was good and the location was just a quick walk to the main drag with other restaurants, cafes, and spas nearby. Would recommend a visit!
