  The "Rationing Era" Cafe We first encountered Cafe Bao Cap in Hanoi. However their Sapa branch is truly designed as a nostalgic journey back in time. The cafe is spread between three floors and one has to move between the mosaic tunnel staircase from the street level to the lowest floor which serves as restaurant dining space. The wall to ceiling tile mosaic is a kaleidoscope of colors depicting Sapa's nature vistas. Truly beautiful and one of a kind that adds uniqueness to this cafe. Dining rooms are authentically recreated with items and furnishings reflecting the style of the bygone Bao Cap (subsidy era), from used tables and vintage chairs to the smallest original decorative accents. The female staff members are warm and attentive. I asked for suggestions for a refreshing coffee concoction that will energize in the morning. Came the Coconut coffee with Green Beans ice blend and it was a showpiece in presentation and flavor. One must insert the straw quickly to level the ice topping otherwise it will melt and overflow. Recommended!

  My cousin recommended this place. And it never disappoints; their egg coffee is great and their sandwich. The staff is very nice; she even helped me find the money that my cousin posted inside the café. The café has unique decorations of customers’ money posted on their walls. The price is reasonable. The place is very accessible.

  Went here for post dinner dessert as it’s quite highly rated, delighted that the reviews did not disappoint!! Their drinks are truly the main highlight of our supper experience. We ordered their Burnt Egg Cream Coffee, Coconut Coffee, and Coconut Egg Cream Milk Tea. Each drink came with a unique depth of flavour that beats everything we had drank so far. The Vietnamese coffee base was fragrant and not too sweet, allowing the coconut and roasted coffee flavours to shine. We also ordered both their crepes (honey and chocolate), which were alright. But service was also another highlight! Very foreigner friendly (especially by server Xaxa) who could speak english and gave us the great drink recommendations. Truly glad to have stumbled upon this place 🔥 Prices were super affordable too!!

  I ordered grilled egg cream coffee and salted coffee. The coffee tasted really good. The creamy layer above perfectly matched with the expresso. The environment is impressive. The traditional furniture and decorations displayed artistically, in which it is good for photos taking. And the color tone is good too. The mosaic wall outside is also lovely. Thanks so much that the staff recommended the signature coffe for us.

  Had a great experience here! The coffee was very good, rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We ordered the hot Hoi An salted coffee and the hot grilled egg coffee, and both were excellent. The salted coffee had a smooth creamy taste, while the grilled egg coffee was unique and comforting. Definitely worth trying if you love specialty coffee!

  ChaLi was our server during our time when we dined in. Super smiling face and we loved how accommodating. The morning ambiance was relaxing here despite being on the side of the road. The place is decorated with different currencies given by foreign customers—we left ours too! It’s a small place but it’s so homey. THE EGG COFFEE IS A MUST. Best egg coffee in Sapa, aside from Pine Forest. Try the lobster roll too because it’s so fresh and not frozen. Overall 10/10 🥰

  We went here spontaneously and we have no regrets! The staff are very friendly (and can speak English if you're a tourist). I suggest ordering the Australian Beef Steak as the beef is tender and well-seasoned. I also suggest trying the egg coffee as it is not too sweet and the egg foam compliments the strong Vietnamese coffee. Would go here again and recommend it to first-timers in SaPa.

  A nice snack / coffee break spot in the main Sapa area. The interior is charming, decorated with international bank notes and vintage Vietnamese items. The egg coffee (grilled and normal) is good, more on the sweet side. The smoothies were also well enjoyed.
