Visited Sapa Square and the city of Sapa during winter, and I truly fell in love with the atmosphere. The chilly weather, foggy air, and mountain views created such a peaceful and romantic vibe — it honestly felt like I was walking through a dream. Sapa Square itself is a lovely spot to stroll around. It’s surrounded by charming French-style buildings, cozy cafés, and beautiful architecture like the stone church. The square often has local performances, traditional markets, and friendly locals selling handmade crafts. I enjoyed just sitting there, watching the fog roll in and people going about their day — simple but magical. Even though it was cold, that’s what made the experience so special. The fresh mountain air, misty hills, and quiet streets gave Sapa a unique charm unlike any other place I visited in Vietnam. If you’re looking for a destination that’s peaceful, beautiful, and full of romantic winter vibes — Sapa is the place to be. I can't wait to come back someday.

Sapa Square is a nice and lively spot in the center of town. It’s a great place to pass by while exploring Sapa, especially with its open space and cool mountain air. The area feels relaxed but still active, with people gathering, walking around, and enjoying the surroundings. It’s also a good landmark for meeting up or just taking a short break while sightseeing around Sapa.

If you visit Sapa and don’t spend an evening at the Sapa Square (Quang Truong Sapa), you’re missing the heartbeat of the town. Centrally located right across from the iconic Sun Plaza and the Stone Church, this square is the ultimate spot for people-watching, photography, and soaking in the local atmosphere. Whether it’s a clear night or thick with mist, Sapa Square is the perfect starting point for any evening in town. It’s beautiful, lively, and completely free to enjoy.

A good representation of the City in the Fog. Looks majestic from a distance. Picturesque, lively and exuberant up close. Somewhat noisy, filled with tourists and touts up close. Beware of pickpockets, hard sells. Thinking of it as the Vietnamese version of the French Alps and you won't be far off.

The heart of Sapa with an array of restaurants, cafes, shops selling everything from souvenirs to daily grocery items, massage shops etc. There is a church too. The shops and restaurants are all brightly lit and if it's foggy , it creates a beautiful ambience. There are street hawkers too selling food as well as the local art work. You will find lots of girls in their best costumes getting photo shoot done in front of the Sun tower! Best is to go in the evenings and enjoy the vibes as well as hot pot in one of the restaurants.

I will just put 3 stars as there are kids being forced to dance for money by their parents in really tough conditions and people are filming like nothing its going on. Please don't give money or film. Children have to be children 💔💔💔💔 its necessary to get involved 😢 also little girls carrying babies in their back. Among this, the square is beautiful 😍

As expected, everyone cómes here where the heart of Sapa is and all the array of restaurants, hotels and shops are found.. It's highly active especially during evenings.. It's just that the only thing that is off (for me) are letting little girls dance for money... They are cute and yes it would smh help the family but just too innocent for an entertainment..
